Ensure safety in your establishment with this Kidde battery operated smoke and carbon monoxide alarm 21032249. This alarm uses an ionization sensor to detect smoke and fire and an electrochemical sensor to detect carbon monoxide. It has a loud piezoelectric horn that emits 85 decibels at 10' away. This is paired with a voice warning system that announces "fire!" or "warning! carbon monoxide!" to alert patrons of the specific threat. It can also announce "carbon monoxide previously detected" when the unit has previously detected CO concentrations of 100 ppm or higher.

This unit features a test / reset / hush button to easily test that it is working properly or to reset the alarm. The hush system allows you to silence your unit when it is triggered by non-hazardous sources. It will announce "hush mode activated" during these occasions. It includes a red LED light that flashes when a dangerous level of smoke or CO is detected, and a green LED light to indicate standby conditions and that an AC power is present. The red LED light will also flash to indicate a low battery, end of product life, and for the detection of errors.

This unit can operate in temperatures ranging from 40 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. It conveniently chirps every 30 seconds when the alarm must be replaced. This chirping can be silenced for 3 days at a time to provide ample time to install a replacement. If the battery is low, this unit will chirp every 60 seconds, with a "low battery" voice alert every 15 minutes.

This unit is easy to mount on any wall or ceiling with the included mounting bracket. It is powered by (2) AA batteries to ensure that the alarm will still work during power outages. This alarm is tamper proof to prevent unauthorized removal.
