Customer questions about this product
- Do I need to worry about splinters with this wooden flatware?
- This wood flatware feels just like a popsicle stick or a tongue depressor, only shaped like cutlery. You won't have to worry about splinters.
- How long does wooden flatware take to break down?
- In an industrial composting facility, wooden flatware takes about 80 days to break down. The length of time in a backyard compost pile will vary depending on the location.
- Will the birch wood used to make this utensil affect the taste of my food?
- This wooden flatware is intended for use with food. Because wood is a porous material, flavors may become absorbed into your utensils while you use them, preventing the taste of wood from overpowering your food.

These forks look great and are better for the environment than plastic, particularly when composted after use. They work fine, but the tines are not as sharp as plastic cutlery, making it a little harder to spear food. It's really not a big deal, and doesn't affect the overall practicality of these forks, but some foods might not be great with these, but some foods aren't great with plastic either... so its fine. Overall I would recommend.

The prongs on the fork is a little short but they work great for things other than eating a salad! They are so rustic and cute. PERFECT for our country wedding, And did i mention SOOO much cheaper than anywhere else?! Very pleased!

I was so excited to find these forks! They are perfect for my outdoor wedding. We will be using them for cake with the EcoChoice Palm Leak plate! They look great in person and the price on this site was half of the price on Amazon for a similar product.

I was worried about splinters when i ordered these but only a few seem to look faulty, other than that all the orders were good! They were nice n sturdy!

I feel great about these eco-friendly wooden forks! Given the renewable nature of the wood being used, I feel better about throwing it away when I'm done using it. The quality is must stronger than normal plastic forks, and withstands the toughest meals, like lasagna. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an environmental friendly option.

We used these recently for a large outdoor function. The prongs on the fork were a little short, but they definitely look better than plastic forks and are an economical option over renting/buying silverware!

These are fine for cooked food but not so useful for salad as the prongs aren't long. . They do have a nice feel to them in your hand and an attractive appearance.

We really liked these forks as we used them at our wedding. They looked great, and we appreciated that we could compost them. They were good at scooping. Spearing meat wasn't as effective, but they worked well enough. I definitely purchase again for future events.

Not quite what I was expected. I bought these to go with the palm leaf plates. The forks seems more like a spork with tiny prongs. The material they are made from is similar to a popsicle stick. They seem smooth so know need to worry about splinters. They will work great for the food I am serving but I would be nervous about using them with tougher meats.

The forks are very cute and nicely designed. They're smaller than I expected, but works for my wedding reception. Best of all, I don't need to wash them after!

This is more like a spork than a fork. It has very short prongs which kept it from being very effective. I did not like eating off of wooden utensils.

I love these forks! They're very sturdy, aesthetically pleasing and the best option for the environment. I'll chose these over plastic any day. I can see these forks used for a variety of occasions (from weddings to packed in your children lunch boxes). I highly recommend.

These were nice forks. Smooth to the touch as well as the mouth. The tines are a bit stubby so, do not plan on taking normal sized bites. They went well with the wooden knife and spoons that we purchased. I would purchase them again.

I was a little iffy about using wooden "silverware". These are awesome and get a lot of compliments! The customers loved them and asked where I got them.

These forks are great! They are lightweight but very durable. They are cute and because they are more like a spork, they work well for our desserts.

I got these for my wedding reception. I wanted a cheaper option for utensils because it didn't make sense to me to rent a bunch of silverware and pay hundreds of dollars for one night. I also like that I don't have to wash them afterwards! Please be advised that these do have a slight wood taste and they are susceptible to splintering, but if you are careful you'll be fine. The only other bad thing I can think of is that you can't clink glasses with these, but for me personally, that's something I didn't mind not having.

Well made and beautiful. Durable with no splintering. On par heavy weight plastic as far as picking up foods. No problems with wet foods. I highly recommend these for parties where either a more natural theme is desired or an ecological alternative is desired. Also good if you are looking for a disposable ecological friendly alternative to a fork in packed meals & picnics. You are eating off a wood utensil and I find you can taste the wood initially. If you have ever eaten off those little spoons that came with the ice cream cups you'll know what I mean. I thought I should mention it, but in my opinion it absolutely doesn't detract from the utensil at all. It is a natural product after all!

I LOVED these utensils at my backyard wedding last spring. They were an absolute hit! They worked perfectly with the casual barbecue theme while being earth friendly. They were just as sturdy and utile as plastic but with way more "chic."

These forks are awesome! I got these, the same type spoons & knives, plus the 10" Palm Leaf plates & bowls for 2 reasons. 1) I hate doing dishes at my house but I don't want the low end feel of plastic cutlery & paper plates. 2) For my business so me and my employees could eat here and not worry about managing them on dishes. PLUS the same effect as above, its still retains that cool feel over low end reusable products. These forks can handle most general eating tasks, although in some cases you'll need a metal fork.

We used these for an event. They were much more attractive and eco-friendly than plastic. They were surprisingly sturdy and we would definitely use them again.
