The studded back gives the mat superior gripping power so that it won't slide around as you adjust your chair, and it is suitable for 6 hours of daily use on low pile carpets up to 3/8" thick. If daily usage is over this amount, consider a higher-pile chair mat. It features a rectangular shape that fits into most workspaces, and a beveled edge to allow easy transitions on and off the mat.
