The bottom works well. I would have choosen a different top to go along with it, one that has deeper slots for picking it up.

Having trouble reaching the bottom of your deep dishes in the cold table ? we were. that's why we originally bought these pans, but they also served a 2nd great purpose. the veggies on the bottom of our 8" pans always got crushes due to the weight of the product above.

Our restaurant has purchased several of these food pans and we are happy with them. They are economical yet hold up well even with heavy use.
