This Avantco 177PHDS5 valve serves as a direct replacement for the original part that came with your HDS-175 hot dog steamer. This component mounts on the side of your hot dog steamer and is used to empty the water pan when you're done for the day, so if the valve is leaking or the handle is broken it's important to replace it promptly.
