This rolling pin is typically used for fondant which is why I bought it however, the size and weight make it great for other uses as well. Because it's so wide I like to use it for pizza dough. It allows me to evenly roll the dough out 18" and still have room at the end of the pin to spare. Very happy with this purchase and highly recommend!

Though I really like the feel of a good maple pin, I have to say I have been VERY impressed by this plastic variant. It is very sturdy and works just as well. Price is comparable to other plastic pins.

I love this rolling pin. It is one of the most useful tools when working with fondant. And the price is the best. I've seen these at other Craft stores (Joann's and Micheals) and even walmart. Instead of getting it from those places, I saved myself the extra money to buy some more things here.

Really great rolling pin, non-stick surface makes working with stickier doughs really easy, not too light or too heavy, also great for working with fondant and gum paste.
