Customer questions about this product
- This sleeve is non-stick--will I still need to use flour or cornstarch to keep my dough from sticking to it?
- For stickier doughs (such as fondant), it is still recommended that you sprinkle corn starch or flour on this sleeve. If you'd like to create an even less sticky surface, you can spray the sleeve with a light coating of cooking spray.
This Ateco (August Thomsen) 18406 silicone rolling pin cover slides over 18" rolling pins. The silicone cover creates a convenient non-stick rolling surface. The silicone itself is made of food grade silicone.
Rolling Pin NOT included.

I really wanted to like this cover but be warned that you still need to use cornstarch or powder sugar so that the fondant does not stick - which defeats the whole "silicone" non stick concept. The description of the product is misleading and not very informative. I'm returning it.

Thanks for your review! This item is non-stick and should work for most types of dough but an icing like a fondant may stick. Sprinkling cornstarch on the cover is a good way to prevent the fondant from sticking.

This silicone rolling pin cover fits nicely on an 18" rolling pin. It's excellent for rolling out sticky cookie dough. Allows me to roll them out without extra flour.

This is one of the best products I have purchased on Webstaurant. It does an excellent job of letting your current pie double as a pastic-type pin. Great idea for a product!
