High-Grown in Kenya
This coffee is high-grown in the northern region of the country, between Mount Kenya and the city of Nairobi. Because it's grown at high elevation, this coffee matures slowly, allowing it more time to develop robust, complex flavor. Once mature, this coffee is carefully hand-harvested, washed to remove the cherry that surrounds the bean, then sun-dried on raised beds. The final result is a gorgeous, light-bodied cup of coffee that's tangy and bright with notes of sweet grapefruit, cranberry, and lemon! Its woody aromas suffuse the senses before the flavor mellows out into an easy finish.

Flexible Preparation Options
Using a French press to brew this coffee is a wonderful way to highlight the bright complexity that results from the long, slow roasting process! Grind the beans coarsely and pour just enough water 30 seconds off a boil (205 degrees Fahrenheit) over them to saturate all the grounds. Allow this slurry to bloom for 30 to 40 seconds before filling your French press all the way up and allowing it to steep for 3 to 4 minutes before plunging the grounds down. This coffee is also excellent for creating trendy cold brew! Simply immerse your coffee grounds in cool water and allow to steep for 15 to 18 hours. This long, slow preparation method will allow the exquisite, fruity quality of the coffee to bloom across the palette before revealing the light and delicate finish - all while keeping the acidity low for easy drinkability.
