How to Tie a Neckerchief

How to Tie a Neckerchief

How to tie a neckerchief: First, lay the neckerchief flat on a smooth surface. Next, fold the point to the center of the neckerchief's long edge, ensuring that the fabric continues to lay flat. Then, roll the neckerchief into a flat, thin strip. Once the fabric is completely rolled, carefully pick up the neckerchief and place it around your neck with one side hanging longer than the other. Take the longer side and wrap it around the shorter side twice. After you've done this, bring the long end up through the knot and then back down on the other side. Tuck the ends inside the knot for a clean and finished look.

This black neckerchief lends a nice professional look to a chef's coat. I like to tie mine a bit loose, so for me the "tails" could've been just a little bit longer- my other ones are 40" and are just long enough to do the "up and around" tuck. The fabric is a poly/cotton blend that's very easy to care for, doesn't wrinkle, and shouldn't have any problems with fading. As always with WebstaurantStore.com, customer service and shipping were excellent.
