This is a cheap, yet decent quality tea ball infuser. I haven't had any real problems with mine so. It does what's it's supposed to do.

This tea infusers are great! They are larger than expected, but are very sturdy and seem like they'll last through many uses! They worked great for our Leather "Teacup Companion" Holsters!

A simple and effective way to brew tea. The construction is fairly poor, but for the price, is what you would expect. We have problems with the bags coming open and needing to be taped. The metal has often bent on the first use. Luckily, the cost is low enough that it is a case of you get what you pay for.
Andrew C. Posted on 03/29/2016
It is working out great so far. It fits in all of my mugs and the latch is still good. The price is great too.
Brenda M. Posted on 03/16/2016
these tea ball infusers were ok i ordered them with an order i had already placed they are a little flimsy but for the price i cant complain
Kenneth K. Posted on 03/14/2016
Does a pretty good job keeping the teas in while steeping but some leaves escape because of being too fine. A little bit of sediment ends up in the final product but just make sure the tea being used is larger.
Jaime P. Posted on 03/08/2016
I like to use this 2" stainless steel tea ball infuser in my soups. I simply fill the ball with spices and aromatics, and steep it in the stock.
Evan B. from Jack & Alice LLC. Posted on 03/07/2016
These tea infusers worked nicely a few times. Then we had problems with them not latching properly, allowing tea leaves to leak into the cup. One of the clasps broke apart.

Thank you for the review, Deborah. We do apologize that these tea ball infusers broke so quickly! A Customer Solutions Representative will contact you about this shortly.

While some tea balls are trendy, these are our old stand by option. They do a great job and are easy to clean. The mesh is pretty fine so even some smaller loose leaf teas are good with this product. I wouldn't use it for Rooibos tea, though.

i wasn't very happy with these tea balls. They did arrive in good condition as does everything I order from Webstraunt Store and the price was good, But they turned out to be quite a disappointment.Put out in a retail setting, the packages would open and I would find the loose tea balls in the basket. They also dont fasten well and sometimes open spilling the contents into the cup of hot water. The metal is soft so they bend pretty easily. So i gave them away with some orders, but I will not order them again.
Carolann B. from DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE Posted on 02/16/2016
I love this tea ball, it's much bigger than the ones you find in the store and allows the tea more room to expand and give the tea much better flavor
Sol B. Posted on 02/01/2016
I returned most of the ones i bought. They came in bent/damaged. Very soft metal. Ended up switching to tea bags because our loose leaf tea would fall through the cracks.

Tea balls like this have been around forever. They were popular during the Depression as a way to save on the cost of tea bags, If you brew your own tea from fresh or dried herbs you want something like this!
John S. Posted on 12/30/2015
A great tool for a great cup of tea. Well made and doesn't leave your drink with a metallic aftertaste. The mesh really does allow for the best steeping.
Christine S. Posted on 12/16/2015
These are a must to have available for my customers buying my loose-leaf teas! They are packaged nicely and are ready for retail. Arrived without any dents in the fine mesh.
Theresa W. from Cuppa Creations Posted on 11/17/2015
Bought these to help retail loose leaf tea. Simple and nice design that gets the job done. I have had one similar that i have used and really like. Good product for the price.

Buyer beware: these are NOT 2" in diameter! When "2 in diameter" is so heavily emphasized, I expect that the 'equator' (thick metal bands where the two halves come together) is 2 inches across. It appears that the 2 inch measurement is 'pole to pole', which is incredibly deceptive. I already own a tea ball that was labeled as 1 inch. It is far too small for anything more than peppercorns and red pepper flakes. I was very excited when I saw these, so I ordered one for tea and one for stock/sauce. I now possess three too-small spice balls. These are just barely taller, but no bigger around. I knew I wouldn't be able to put an entire cinnamon stick in, but based on the multiple touts, I truly expected something larger. Ya know, with a 2" diameter. If I received this as a random present, with no expectations, I would be reasonably pleased. It definitely let some spices through, so there was a bit of grit in the bottom of the pot. If it really mattered, I'd probably just use cheesecloth, but for myself it's ok.

Nice to have these 2" SS Tea Ball Infuser for loose tea. Handy and simple. Easy to clean and very affordable. Weill be back for more of these. Allows me to get the full flavor from my favorite teas!
Kim H. Posted on 10/03/2015
Decent loose leaf tea infuser. Nothing too impressive but the hinge holding the basket shut does a good job and haven't had any issue with them breaking or rusting yet.
Andrew N. Posted on 09/10/2015
These stainless steel tea ball infuser were a great addition to our restaurant. The only reason they are getting 4 stars is because I feel that the loose leaf tea leaked through the balls a little more than it should.

Perfect for restaurants , the Stainless Steel Tea Ball Infuser from Update International is the perfect size for individual cups or small tea pots. This tea ball is made entirely from high-quality stainless steel for maximum durability and features a short chain to easily hang and retrieve it from the cup or kettle. For proper use and ideal flavor, only fill the tea ball half full of tea leaves. This allows the leaves enough room to expand and steep properly.

Great little item for the money. If you are using loose tea or sachets this diffuser is quite handy and looks more professional than just using tea. Love it!
April L. from Easley library Coffee shop Posted on 07/12/2015
Given twos stars because the product was not meant to be used in an office setting where it will be handled by multiple users and experience wear and tear not normal to residential use/one user.

Good product for holding loose leaf teas, etc. I prefer basket style strainers, but for service in a cafe, these look nice and are easy to serve.
Michael P. from Mike's Mindful Plate Posted on 05/15/2015
Not only is this great for loose tea, I use it to infuse ground ginger for a homemade ginger tea. Get fresh ginger, peel and crush either with a mortar and pestle or food processor. Then add honey to taste. I make a huge batch and store in the refrigerator - it keeps for a long time. When ready to use, scoop a couple teaspoons or so (your taste) into the infuser, close and steep in boiling water for a few minutes. Enjoy! PS: I'd give this product full marks if it had arrived as it should. When I received it, the hook at the end of the chain and it's tricky to attach to a cup handle.

These are great saves on teabags cost and trash. Just put the lose tea in the tea all and seep it for the amount of time you require. I love this item too bad they don't sell lose tea here.
Tristan M. Posted on 11/26/2012
These stainless steel tea infusers are perfect. The chain hooks around the cup handle for easy steeping. Stainless steel is really the best option! They are awesome client gifts, too!
