Made from solid birch wood that is harvested from F.S.C. (Forest Stewardship Council) Certified replanted / sustainable forests, Greenware heavy weight wood flatware is perfect for use in takeout meals, at cafes, and during outdoor catered events.

Greenware wooden utensils are also a great alternative to green, biodegradable plastic cutlery because they won’t break down, or turn to mush, if stored in high heat areas. They’re also burnable, which makes Greenware wooden forks, knives, and spoons ideal for use at summer camps or lodges. Greenware wooden forks, knives, and spoons are also biodegradable and compostable!

Sounds Good, But I Have Some Questions...

Not a problem! We’ve got answers to all of your questions in the FAQ section of each product description! Here’s some highlights.

Is Greenware wooden flatware compostable? How long does it take to break down?

Greenware flatware has no coatings or glazes, it is solid birch wood, so yes it is biodegradable and compostable. In an industrial composting facility, wooden flatware takes 60 - 90 days to break down. A backyard compost pile will have different time frames depending on location.

How sharp is the knife? Are the spoon and fork suitable for any dish?

Customers state that the knife is able to cut steak. You can use Greenware wooden cutlery with any dish. The fork works great with salads and side dishes. The spoon is great for use with yogurt, ice cream, or pureed / chunky soups.
