Basic Overview:
Facilities Maintenance Technician-02 will be responsible for the preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of all assets used in the operation of the warehouse. Focus could be on Material Handling Equipment (MHE) or Operational & Building Maintenance (OBM).
Job Responsibilities:
- Work in a safe and professional manner at all times, keeping the safety of oneself and others as their
highest priority.
- Ability to perform Lock Out/Tag Out on all assets.
- MHE-Perform PM’s and repairs on:
o Crown TSP, SP, SC, RM, RC, PR & M
o Wire Guidance System
o Ottawa Yard Truck & Sweeper/Scrubber
o Batteries/Chargers
- OBM-Perform PM’s and repairs on:
o Conveyor System & Packaging Equipment
o HVAC & Lighting systems
o Cubiscans/Scales
o Fire & Security Systems
o Racking Repairs
o Dock assets
o General building
- Desire to learn new skills that will benefit the Team and Company as a whole.
- Safely operate all warehouse equipment, while abiding by all forklift safety training, to ensure a safe work
environment.
- Effectively communicate, with Manager and Team members, through phone, text and email.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System to document labor, assets and inventory
- Report any accidents, incidents, or Safety concerns to a supervisor immediately.
- Keep work zone clean and orderly and help maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Perform other duties and tasks not listed as requested by the Shift manager.
Education and/or Experience:
- Minimum of 2 year of relevant maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing or distribution
environment.
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Previous experience in the Electrical, Mechanical or HVAC fields preferred.
- Electrical troubleshooting skills are beneficial.
- Experience with automated conveyor systems is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work at elevations of up to 50’.
- Customer service-oriented attitude with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations
You must be able to meet the following basic qualifications:
- Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 10-12 hours/day depending on shift
- Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing
- Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
- Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching
- Requires the ability to regularly lift / carry 50-75lbs. and push / pull up to 150lbs.
Shift Schedule:
This shift is a 35.5 hour, 3-day schedule:
- Friday– 6:00 AM-6:00 PM
- Saturday– 6:30 AM-7:00 PM
- Sunday– 6:00 AM-6:30 PM
