Responsibilities

Leadership
- Assist leadership in overseeing daily operations in the department to ensure a high level of productivity and quality while achieving operating goals; promote team adherence to Company policies and procedures
- Work closely with leadership to monitor and provide consistent feedback to employees on individual and team performance on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
- In collaboration with leadership, conduct daily team meetings to update employees on work expectations, task assignments, best practices and operating expectations
- Clearly communicate team goals, resolve problems as they arise, and answer any related questions
- Assist with developing a cross-trained team that can flex into other departments or jobs as needed
- Maintain a high level of communication with Inbound teams and management daily; partner with other team leads to flex hours where necessary
- Serve as a resource for all employees regarding job tasks, company policies and procedures and warehouse initiatives
- Report personnel issues to the department leadership to enable timely resolutions
Process
- Ensure a high level of accuracy on inbound Purchase Orders and verify that all PO’s are received in our internal system correctly; maintain the inbound error log to track and ensure accountability
- Resolve any PO issues that may arise; verifying overaged and shortages prior to receipt closure
- Organize the dock based on available space, directing drivers to where and when they can be unloaded
- Manage the department's workflow daily, working with leadership to adjust to labor availability as needed.
- Conduct inspections within the inbound department to ensure a high degree of accuracy and quality
- Identify roadblocks/challenges that the team communicates and work internally and with other departments to remove them
- Work closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goals
- Abide by all company and warehouse policies
- Flex into other positions and departments and undertake additional duties as necessary to support the overall operation
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- We require a business proficiency in the ability to rea, write and communicate in English.
Physical Requirements
- Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day.
- Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
- Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
- Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
- Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75lbs.
Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a distribution environment; receiving/inventory experience preferred but not required
