1st Shift Receiving Material Handler

Basic Overview:  

The Receiving Material Handler is responsible for ensuring accurate receipt of inventory during the receiving process and safely utilizing equipment to fulfill their duties. The Receiving Material Handler should have knowledge of product information, receiving procedures, and maintain a strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Job Responsibilities:

• Receiving/stocking inventory to fulfill orders as they are processed to ensure that customers receive orders in a short time frame and as accurately as possible.
• Ensure the quality of the receiving and stocking processes, to include quantities and correct product
• Safely operate and maintain warehouse equipment to carry out job duties to ensure a safe work environment
• Ensure incoming date-coded inventory is closely monitored for near expiration dates
• Complete verification of incoming purchase orders within IDS

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Must be able push and pull up to 150lbs
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 to 75lbs 
• Must be able to constantly bend, squat, reach, climb, and stand throughout shift
• Must be able to work in a variety of temperatures in the facility
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change. Ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence
• Customer service-oriented attitude with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations

 1st Shift Receiving Hours: 

• Monday through Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm
• Tuesday through Friday, 6:00am - 4:30pm
• Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
