Position Overview:

 

The Project Coordinator (PC) will be responsible for managing projects as determined by the Automation and Expansion Team. The PC will work directly with the Project Manager and Integration Manager to oversee the planning, installation, and integration of projects as directed by the Senior Leadership. The Project Coordinator will work closely with the local operations teams, Software Development Teams and Vendor Project Teams at respective sites to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget and of a satisfactory quality to allow the local distribution center to achieve all corporate level metrics.

 

Key Responsibilities:


  • Successfully manage multi-site large scale projects/implementations simultaneously of capital equipment
  • Communicate key deliverables to stakeholders regarding operational improvements and system growth initiatives:
  • Prepares, presents, and maintains all documentation surrounding implementations and project(s), to include site layouts, design documents, purchase orders, responsibility matrix, etc.
  • Oversee project(s)/implementation and physical installation to achieve key metrics and ensure that deliverables are being satisfied:
  • Oversee key areas of data collection, interpretation, reporting, timelines, and on-going metrics to be monitored
  • In conjunction with key stakeholders, Operations Support Service, and Software development teams, define software needs required for capital project implementation:
  • Develop Needed documents, requests, and workflows as needed in conjunction with business analyst and Product owners
  • Monitor software development from start to finish to ensure needed features are developed, correct, and complete within the parameters defined by the project.
  • Review and or create design documents for proposal compliance:
  • Oversee quoting, design, and purchasing of equipment
  • Create and submit POs for approval for all needed equipment and supplies as required by the responsibility matrix.
  • Coordinate installation with General Contractor and/or Trades and Operations Mangers, to include the local management team directly
  • Manage and Monitor turnover plan with site management:
  • Monitor integration and installation to ensure adherence to turnover plan
  • Assist (PM and IM) in developing system/implementation sign-off acknowledgement documents
  • Regularly communicate with senior leadership, local management, etc. as needed about the progress of projects.

 

 Requirements:


  • An Analytical, detail-oriented person that has an ambition to succeed in a fast-pace environment
  • Self-starter with the ability to create direction without prompting
  • Ability to operate in ‘gray areas’ and create baseline assumptions
  • Natural mechanical aptitude
  • General knowledge of software platforms, automation, conveyance, and other material handling equipment
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read, measure, and manipulate in AutoCad and/or similar programs is preferred.
  • Prior experience in working on Mechanical-Electrical-Software integration desired
  • Experience in Capital Equipment Installation and implementation preferred
  • Overnight travel will be required, to include air travel up to 50%
  • Project dependent and driven
