POSITION SUMMARY

Inventory Control Specialist’s primary responsibility is to maintain accurate inventory levels, minimize inventory losses and maximize customer satisfaction with products received from our inventory. Inventory Control Specialists should have knowledge of product information, inbound and outbound procedures, and maintain a strong attention to detail and accuracy. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Complete Inventory Control Actions (ICAs) by conducting locates and/or research

·        Conduct Cycle Counts to ensure inventory accuracy

·        Be available to work in all areas of Inventory Control based on departmental needs

·        Analyze inventory placement and recommend movement to optimize bin efficiency

·        Utilizing company software and other resources to process, analyze and report on different inventory processes

·        Stock shelves with Returned items and Wrap items

·        Investigate reports of damaged inventory and handle appropriately

·        Professionally communicate within the company to complete all assigned tasks

·        Effectively utilize different communication channels in daily operations and for reporting results (email, verbal, Teams chat)

·        Promote company culture and ensure standards are maintained

·        Additional tasks as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a distribution environment; receiving and/or inventory experience preferred
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

·        Ability to work independently and in a team setting with a sense of urgency

·        Display great attention to detail while being able to multi-task

·        Strong verbal and written communication skills

·        Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change; ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence

·        Customer service-oriented attitude with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations

·        Must have regular and predictable onsite attendance

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able push and pull up to 150lbs
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 to 75lbs 
• Must be able to constantly bend, squat, reach, climb, and stand throughout shift
• Must be able to work in a variety of temperatures in the facility

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.

1st Shift: Monday-Thursday 7:00am - 5:30pm

3rd Shift: Monday-Thursday 7:00pm - 5:30am
