Job Summary

As the largest online distributor of restaurant supplies and equipment, WebstaurantStore manages over 430,000 products with fast, reliable shipping. Nearly all of our technology, design, development, testing, and systems management is done in-house, allowing us to deliver custom solutions in a dynamic market. We are seeking a Mid-Senior Level Software Engineer with C# .NET experience to design and develop automation frameworks, build and scale CI/CD pipelines, collaborate with Development and Product teams, mentor peers, and drive continuous improvement in quality engineering.

Remote Work Qualifications

  • Access to a reliable and secure high-speed internet connection. Cable or fiber internet connections (at least 75mbps download/10mbps upload) are preferred, as satellite connections often cannot support the technologies used to perform day-to-day tasks.
  • Access to a home router and modem.
  • A dedicated home office space that is noise- and distraction-free. The space should have strong wireless connection or a wired Ethernet connection (wired connection is preferred, if possible).
  • A valid, physical address (apartment, suite, etc.). PO Boxes are not supported, as a physical address is required for you to receive your computer equipment.
  • The desire and ability to work and communicate with other team members via chat, webcam, etc.
  • Legal residents of one of the following states: (AK, AL, AR, AZ, CT, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, ND, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WI, WV, and WY).

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop automation frameworks in an agile environment.
  • Build and scale CI/CD automation pipelines that drive efficiency.
  • Estimate testing effort and ensure timely task completion.
  • Create and maintain QA documentation to support team success.
  • Collaborate closely with Development, Business Analysts, and Product Owners.
  • Mentor peers and foster growth in quality engineering.
  • Champion continuous improvement to deliver robust, reliable automation strategies.

Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
  • Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
  • Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
  • Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 4+ years of programming experience with C#.
  • Strong understanding of Automation Testing and Automation frameworks creation approaches.
  • Understanding of QA practices (white and black box testing, risk-based testing, system testing, regression testing, exploratory testing practices).
  • Solid SQL knowledge.
  • Solid understanding of REST principles and best practices for API development.
  • Good understanding of source control tools, like GIT.
  • Experience working in an Agile / Scrum environment.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Willingness to jump in and do what it takes to solve problems.
  • Ability to multitask and shift focus as needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively establish and maintain working relationships with all levels of the organization.
  • Willingness to train/mentor new or junior team members.
  • Ability to work with a majority remote team.
  • Willingness to listen, learn, and work collaboratively with others.
