Zach Pre-Media Manager

I graduated from Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology in the spring of 2005 with an Associate's degree in Graphic Design and Printing Technology. I worked in the printing and pre-press industry for 11 years before I found myself at WebstaurantStore. My friends had spoken highly of the company and how well they take care of their employees, and they were right! From cookouts to lunches, game days, and contests, WebstaurantStore keeps their employees engaged with all kinds of activities.

Comradery and teamwork thrive within these walls. Innovation and forward thinking are at the forefront of every decision made and every problem solved. WebstaurantStore embodies everything needed to foster a positive work environment and a sustainable future. Because of these things, I look forward to coming to work every day. It's very exciting knowing you're part of something great, and what we have here at WebstaurantStore is certainly great! I'm very thankful for what we have and I wouldn't be here if it weren't for my wife since she's the one who encouraged me to apply!

John Software Test Engineer

After graduating from Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology in May of 2016, I was looking forward to starting my career within the computer science field. I had my mind set on a career that would not only provide adequate potential for learning and growth, but would also be equally as challenging. Upon hearing about the many opportunities and benefits at WebstaurantStore from former classmates, I enthusiastically applied for a position.

Shortly after starting with WebstaurantStore on the help desk team I transitioned to the IDS development team as a software test engineer. As part of the IDS department I get the opportunity to work with a fantastic team of extremely knowledgeable individuals and I am faced with new challenges every day. I find that some of the most enjoyable aspects about working at the WebstaurantStore are having opportunities to work with fantastic people, being presented with challenges everyday, and being part of a company in which people genuinely enjoy what they do each day.

Jonathan Systems Engineer

Furthering my education, I graduated Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology in 2016 with a degree in Computer Networking and Systems Administration. I am currently a Jr. Systems Engineer here at WebstaurantStore and can honestly say I look forward to each and every day. Our team of Engineers is responsible for the design, provisioning, and management of the systems that make WebstaurantStore so great. Working closely with Site Reliability Engineers, DBAs, Network Security, and Developers, we strive to embrace DevOps methodologies and culture. As a team, we set out to provide solutions on the cusp of cutting-edge technology that help streamline and automate our vastly expanding infrastructure. Each day I am met with a new challenge, and WebstaurantStore provides me with the resources I need to grow and build upon my career.

However, WebstaurantStore isn't just a place of employment; it's a home away from home. When all the hard work is done, there are many amenities to enjoy such as game rooms, coffee bars, fitness areas, and great lunches! There are also many opportunities to give back to the community, such as charities, volunteer events, and tech meet-ups. With that said, WebstaurantStore has a great work/life balance and sets the stage for success!

Alex Site Maintenance Specialist

“Exciting new challenges every day as well as on-the-job training...“

I graduated from Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology in May 2010 and started working at WebstaurantStore in July 2015. WebstaurantStore was a whole new environment for me after previously working in the printing industry for five years, and I immediately discovered that this is a great company to work for. Being a Site Maintenance Specialist entails day-to-day site updates; such as fixing grammatical errors, updating new item features, and making sure, overall, that our site is as accurate and easy to navigate as possible.

My career as a Site Maintenance Specialist was exactly what I was looking for, considering my love for computers and working behind the scenes of a big operation. Being employed by WebstaurantStore gives me exciting new challenges every day as well as on-the-job training. I also have the opportunity to give back to the community by volunteering and donating to charitable organizations. Factoring in all the training and incentives this company provides for their employees, I know that I have made the right move into a great career!
