Penn State grads play critical roles in maintaining the exciting, energetic, and productive work environment here at WebstaurantStore. Many Penn State grads hold prominent leadership positions that provide the drive, direction, and results that contribute to our rapid growth. In addition to all their hard work, they also have a lot of fun working at WebstaurantStore! Check out some of the bios below to meet a few of our Penn State grads!
I began working at WebstaurantStore in 2010, shortly after graduating from Penn State. I had fine-tuned my critical thinking and communication skills while achieving an English degree and was excited to apply what I'd learned in a rapidly growing company. All of those years ago, three other Content Writers and I were tasked with researching information so we could write descriptions and buying guides for things like doilies, toasters, and slushy machines while also formulating ideas to enhance the website's overall customer experience.
Now five years later, WebstaurantStore has gone from a budding up-and-comer to a full-fledged foodservice industry giant. Despite such tremendous growth with that group of four Content Writers growing to a team of more than twenty, the learning, writing, and innovative generation and implementation of ideas continues. What was once almost entirely independent research, learning now means weekly hands-on training and occasional conferences throughout the nation. The style of our writing continues to stay fresh and evolve as we gain a better understanding of our audience. With an appreciation for opportunity, open communication, natural curiosity, and an ambitious-but-relaxed work atmosphere, I look forward to coming to work each and every day!
