Customer Q&A Ask a Question

What is the difference between a disher and an ice cream scoop?
Dishers are designed to control servings of soft foods, such as mashed potatoes, applesauce, or steamed vegetables. Although these are not meant for harder foods, such as ice cream, they are versatile tools that can be used for portion control in both prep and service applications. Ice cream scoops offer the durability necessary to scoop hard, frozen foods, such as ice cream. Both are traditionally sized by the number of scoops per quart that they can produce; however, they may also be sized by the number of ounces they hold. Dishers feature an easy-to-operate thumb press or squeeze-handle design, complete with a quick-release component that ensures no food is unintentionally left behind in the scoop. Ice cream scoops on the other hand, do not feature any movable components.

This portion scoop is so cool. Right hand and left hand, anybody can use it, which its nice, so it is an universal portion scoop, super easy to use and comfortable in your hand.
This are my favorite size scoops, great for baking perfectly even sized cookies, I also use to measure my garlic knots dough and much more, great mechanism that doesn’t hurt my fingers from using it again and again.
I have several zeroll scoops in varrious sizes and they are awesome! I had perviously owned a couple scoops that I had purchased from crate and barrel, but they weren't strong enough to scoop cold cookie dough and would frequently "jump" the folcum and no longer scoop correctly. That has never happened with my zeroll scoops. I love that they come in so many sizes and their durability. They are a must for any frequent baker (I use them for cookies, muffins, cupcakes, etc.).
Best scooper for cookie dough I've ever bought. All the other scoopers break within 2-4 weeks. And when you employee young people that have never worked before, they tend to be very rough with everything. These have been able to take a beating.
They work beautifully, it's just the perfect size to measure out my almond butter for our smoothie drinks and they are very convenient for that reason as well
i've used many different styles and brands of dishers / scoops over the years and these models are by far the best i have ever used. i've broken many other types in the past but these zeroll branded ones are still going strong.
These scoops took a little getting used to after we had always used the regular clicker style scoops, but now these Zeroll scoops are our favorite! Very comfortable to use and less straining on your hands and wrists!
The Zeroll 2040 Orchid #40 .71 oz. Universal EZ Disher Portion Scoop is easy to use and easy to clean. It releases easily and it very reliable.
Zeroll dishers are the best on the market. I like that they're color coded so that I know exactly which one I'm grabbing for. They're dishwasher safe, and easy to use.
These portion scoops are perfect for getting the exact same amount of product on the plate each time. Makes kitchen life a whole lot easier!
I purchased this small scoop for cookies but it works great for mini cupcakes as well. I love this product and will continue to purchase additional sizes.
Good size for mini cookies, falafel, etc. I've been using these for several months, and they seem very sturdy. 4/5 stars because they have a very small gap between the moving part and the scoop, so sometimes batter gets stuck and has to be cleared. Otherwise, these are great!
This scoop is one of my favorites--it is perfect for cookies and smaller, bite -sized scones. The plastic is non-slip and feels secure in your hand. I've had stainless steel scoops in the past that stopped working, or went off track. This one is built to last. (Also, I saved a BUNDLE buying them here instead of at that "fancy" California cooking store:)
I actually discovered Zeroll dishers on another online seller website, but I found that Webstaurant's prices and selection were much better. These are the perfect size for scooping out the soft batter for my brownie cookies. I had been using my beloved old disher for years, but the gears kept coming out of place when I used it to scoop anything that was remotely firm. I love that these are designed so that this issue is not even a possibility. I look forward to using this for many years to come to make many many cookies. I also find this to be a good size for measuring out uniform amounts of cake ball filling before filling them by hand.
I purchased a few of these scoops in different sizes. They are very sturdy, and they feel good in hand, but I wasn't too thrilled with the fit of the sweep inside the scoop bowl. There is a gap between the bowl of the scoop, and the sweep, so it doesn't work too well for very soft or sticky cookie dough.
Best dipper ever! Have used Zeroll brand for 20 years and absolutely love them. We have multiple sizes, work great for cookie dough, serving sizes, etc.
These are great scoops - very sturdy and well made. I've had one just like this for several years now, and I use it so much that I purchased a second to have on hand. This size (#40) is just right for making 1-oz cookies, or mini muffins.
