Oxygenate, ferment, and carbonate all in the Spike Brewing CF15 one tank 15 gallon conical fermenter. Engineered to produce your best beer yet, this fermenter provides the convenience of single-vessel fermentation, accommodating both primary and secondary fermentation without the hassle and risk of transferring your beer. By minimizing transfer, it reduces the risk of oxidation and contamination for an overall better brew.
Once fermentation slows, the oversized 2" TC bottom valve dumps out the yeast. Thanks to its large size, the dump valve prevents stuck yeast dumps, and even if one does form, the butterfly valves help dislodge it. When fermentation is complete, the tank allows for cold crashing to improve the clarity of the beer.
This particular fermenter handles pressure up to 15 psi, which allows for fermenting not only low carbonated beers, but some highly carbonated beers, as well. As most beers fall in a mid-range carbonation zone, the fermenter offers great versatility and can handle virtually any brew. Plus, it facilitates force carbonation, drastically reducing the time it takes for beer to carbonate from 7 days to a mere 12 hours. Pressure transfer of the finished beer through a racking port to the keg (sold separately) ensures that your time, effort, and hardwork aren't compromised by oxygen contact.
Made of all welded, 18 gauge 304 stainless steel, this fermenter features sanitary welded ports that prevent bacteria build-up and unwanted off-flavors. It also includes etched volume markings for easy filling, a 1 1/2" TC dial thermometer, 1 1/2" TC sample valve for taking gravity readings, and a fully polished finish for a professional shine. It's designed to produce batches between 5 gallon and 1/2 barrel in size.
To accommodate a wide range of accessories, the lid features a 4" TC modular top port. It also allows for hop additions during fermentation. Another TC port, this one 1 1/2" in size, connects to a blow-off or air lock, blow-off cane, or CIP ball (sold separately). For a tight seal, the lid is attached to the tank with a stainless steel band clamp, but is entirely removable for easy cleaning. This conical fermenter is designed to support your passion for high-quality brewing and great beer. By spending less time worrying about contamination, off-flavors, and long brew times, you can focus on your business and building your brand.
