This certainly seems like a durable pastry blender. The sides and bottom are cut from a single piece of steel, and the blades at the bottom are thick and sturdy. My main complaint with this blender is the erganomics. Because of the way the handle is shaped, the sharp metal sides dig into my hand as I use it. The edges of the blades are also pretty rough, and I always feel like I'm going to get my fingers sliced as I run them over the blades to clean them. I probably wouldn't buy this again, even though it's very sturdy and well-priced, mainly because of the erganomics issue. It just isn't plesant to use.

This Stainless Steel Pastry Blender worked great for mixing ingredients together when making scones, but I love it for chopping up avocados for guacamole or mashing potatoes. It;s very sturdy and I can just toss it in dishwasher.

We use this tool with all of our pastry bases to help blend cold butter with the flour base, etc. Easily cleaned and stored and a great item for the price.

Works good, totally gets the job done. Worth the price but the blades bend after some time. Solid 4 star item. I would purchase it again.

This is well built. I have only used it once now, and it performed well. It feels very solid. I hate tools that feel like they are going to break on you, and this does not.

from Soul Traveler LLC Posted on

This is a great little pastry blender. Ice cold butter can bend the blades a little (don't worry! They bend right back), but very slightly softened butter is no problem. I use it to make scones with cold butter straight out of the fridge and it holds up like a champ, even when I have to bend it back afterward. Larger hands might have an issue with the grip. I have small to medium sized hands and they fit it perfectly. My husband and partner in crime at the bakery said that it is uncomfortable to his hands. It would get five stars if it fit his hands better, and didn't bend, but those are very minor issues for me. No rust or discoloration after many times through the warewasher.

This is a great Stainless Steel Pastry Blender with 5 Blades. It blends pastries with ease, and holds up very well. Great quality and value.

This pastry blender is solidly built and good value for the price. The stainless steel is strong and appropriately thick for its purpose. It's a WinCo product if that matters to anyone. Made in China. For the price, you can't complain. The handle also being stainless steel isn't exactly comfortable so if you intend to use it often you might want to go for another pastry blender which more comfortable handle. Still for the price, its a nice accessory to add to you baking tools collection for occasional use.

The stainless steel pastry blender with five blades is perfect for cookie dough and spaghetti dough. It has a great handle that is very comfortable. What has really impressed me is the blade strength and flexibility. I can easily blend dry and wet ingredients to a smooth consistency, like pizza dough.

Makes quick work of cutting in shortening and butter.

This pastry blender is a great product at a great price. The handle the last one I purchased fell apart. This blender's handle is securely attached.

I use this to make pie crusts and it's amazing, much better than doing them by hand every time. Sturdy and can handle the ice cold butter and all the pressure I put on it.

Works great for blending pastry and SMALL batches of potatoes. It is durable. I do wish it had a rubber grip or something on the handle as it can be a bit slippery.

    Posted on

If you are thinking you can get by without this tool. Don't do it! Don't think that because you do in fact need this. Wow, I made scones with it and I will never go back to the fork again lol

the only problem with this is that the steel handle hurts if not gripped well, if it had an erconomic handle, it would be much better!

You'll find this helps in making your recipes perfectly with its durable stainless steel construction. Purchase these for your kitchen bakery chefs and I guarantee you'll love them

A great little pastry blender with nice, sharp blades. It's a little on the smaller size, but works like a charm! You won't be disappointed!

from So Belle Cakes Posted on

Decent cutter but could be a little flimsy for some applications. The blade bend a little sometimes if the mixture is too stiff but it easily bends back. No rust after 6+ months of use!

This pastry blender is a life saver. I absolutely love it and recommend it. It has 5 blades which make blending so much more fluent

I prefer this over mixers or food processors when making pie crust. It's all in the method and with this tool, I know when the mixing is done simply by the feel.

Anyone who does biscuits or pies this is a must have a lot better than getting the cheap ones where the handle brakes or the wires go out the blade stay properly on the only thing I have to say is the handle does hurt a little bit when you are trying to get into go.

This pastry Blender makes it easy to mix your butter while making your pastries, also good for chopping. it makes mixing easy for my husband especially with the pastries.

I use this pastry blender to cut in my butter when making pie dough. It works great every time and I would recommend it for any kitchen.

I really love this pastry blender. It's a really great quality item, and its a really great price. I think the design is great and the functionality is fantastic. I've already used it three times to make crisp for fruits. The only thing to be careful of is getting water in the handle, because there is a small opening, however, I have not had an issue with this.

This pastry blender looks more durable than it actually is. I was shocked and disappointed that the blades bent significantly the very first time I used it. I was able to bend them back, but they definitely warped a lot after just the first use. I wasn't even doing a large batch at all. Just 1 stick of butter. The handle was comfortable enough. Other reviewers found it uncomfortable but it seemed fine. It was just the durability of the cutting blades that was not the greatest.

The best baking upgrade for a home cook. Biscuits, tarts, pies... this is the thing to use. Better than forks and for folks with hot hands like myself, making pie dough or streusel by hand is impossible if I'm not standing in a walk-in freezer the whole time. Great time saver, but I would like to have more clearance for my knuckles. Four stars, Great value. Great tool. Would recommend.

These are quite durable pastry blenders and they are SHARP! They work great for cutting very chilled butter for pie crusts and scones. I have several. Also great for teaching pie classes.

    from Ashleigh Luna Posted on

An extremely helpful blender, especially when doing multiple crust at once. The stainless steel cleans up well and takes a beating. I like this much better than our old wire flimsy blenders.

from Khaan Deli LLC Posted on

Pastry blender went above and beyond my expectations. You can tell by the shear weight of the product it is a great product. Product is sharp so be careful!

    from Crave Sweets Posted on

This is indeed a good one. It cuts well through the ingredients and mixes to keep warm hands away from the cold butter and such.

Before using this blender, I was using a fork to cut fats into flours. I could never justify the price of buying a tool that I didn't know how much I would use but this is an amazing product and felt very comfortable with the price.

Very sturdy and easy to use. These are so much easier than cutting fats into flour with your hands, or using forks. Very handy to have.

from The Sweetest Things, LLC Posted on

This this is so inexpensive but it feels of good quality and works great. I don't use it as a pastry cutter, but I do use it for prepping tomatoes for pizza sauce. It is perfect for small batches of that.

This is a great Pastry blender. The blades are thin enough to easily cut through the butter or shortening, but strong enough to not have any problems.

Great pastry blender. Basic stainless steel but seems to be great quality for the price paid. Much better than previous ones I have owned and used.

We didn't want to spend a lot for an item we did not use all the time. So we were not expecting much from this pastry blender. However I must admit it dos a great job and was a amazing price.

from Russ' Sub Shack Posted on

I have not been particularly impressed with this. The blades are very easily bent. Using this with cold butter means you will bend it, and then it won't work so well. Haven't replaced it yet, but I probably should.

As someone who doesn't use a pastry blender a lot, I was looking for one that would be of decent quality, but at a fair price. This was perfect for me. I have only used it a few times, but each time it has worked very efficiently and it's very strong and sturdy

This pastry blender is made of very strong material. The handle fits just right on my hand making it easier to use. It cuts shortening or butter into flour great.

This is a really affordable pastry blender but i didn't need one with anything fancy and this gets the job done just fine. It is sturdy and sharp! I highly recommend this item!

I bought this to replace an expensive blender that, for all its class, still hurt my hand after a while. Unwilling to spend mucho moolah only to be disappointed again, I wrapped the handle of this one with Vetrap self-adhering vet tape, and I love it. Great grip, and a little cushion to boot. Cuts as well as my now dead high-end blender.

I purchased this for home use for when I make my homemade pie crust. As it can become quite tiresome by doing it by hand or by hand mixer. And once again thank you very much WEBstaurant store for the exceptional quality and pricing of all your items. & I will definitely recommend to friends and family.

It works great! Actually cuts up cold butter. The handle is not very ergonomically designed but it does its job well. Has a good angle for rolling back and forth along the bottom of the bowl as well.

Good, sturdy pastry blender. Easy to clean and does the job really well. We use it to mash baked beans, for blending flour and butter, and other simple mashing tasks.

from Mike's Mindful Plate Posted on

A good all around pastry blender. The blades appear to be solid. so far holding up to regular use. It's been easy to clean, and the price was great.

    from Brian Posted on

This is a great pastry blender with five blades. It is sturdy , easy to hand or machine wash and works so much better than two knives.

    Posted on

Really good, and extremely easy to clean - the only fault I can find with this is that the seams on either side of the handle have a tendency to pinch your hand if you're not careful with it. I've made a habit of wrapping a cloth around the handle before I use it. Oh, and it's really good for cutting flour into mashed potatoes to make potato cakes!

    from Ian Sparke Posted on

My old pastry blender was from 1950 and it was rusting. I was having a hard tine even finding a pastry blender at local stores. I have used this blender for cutting butter into flour to make dumplings for "Spicy Soup" and it worked great. I even let my 4 year daughter help and she loved getting some times helping in the kitchen. Thanks.

When I upgraded my blender, I gave away my food processor. The last time I did a pastry-like dough (to make empanadas) without the processor, I went on hunt for a good pastry blender to do the dough by hand. This one doesn't disappoint - feels comfortable in hand for cutting in butter/fat, ensuring the dough is flaky and not overworked.

Love this pastry blender. Its one solid piece which is great, I've had similar pastry blenders in the past that snap apart at the handle when used too roughly, this is not the case here! Works fantastic for making pie crusts.

This Stainless Steel 5 blade Pastry Blender is just like the one my mother had when I was a little girl. I am so happy that Webstaurant stocks items like this at a cost that is affordable for anyone. I have purchase similar looking pastry blenders from retail outlets in the past, but they just weren't 'Webstaurant Quality' items and either the blades bent or were squashed together after a few uses, or they began to rust after many washings. These stainless steel blades release sticky dough and wash up quickly. It is built strong of strong materials and I expect it to last for many years.

    from Home Use Posted on

I own several pastry cutters but this is my favorite. The stainless steel cleans up very easily, the grip is comfortable, and I prefer the blades to the wire in my other cutters. The wires on two of my other pastry blenders get pulled together as I'm using them, but these blades are rigid and cut the fat into the dry ingredients quickly and easily.

Then I was even happier that these are better then any I have found since. It holds up well and blends my pastry neatly without having to worry I'm going to break or bend something.
