Perfect for our frappe mixes, sits nicely on the counter and doesn't show fingerprints. Love the clear lid so I can see contents but it isn't obvious on sales counter.

    Stainless steel canister 2qt

Nice looking canisters that hold more than I thought they would. For whole bean coffee I can fit two 12 oz. bags with room for more. Might not be 100% sealed but it serves the purpose as the coffee has remained fresh.

This canister is perfect for coffee and spices because of the locking lid. Because it's air-tight, and opaque, it prevents coffee from oxidizing and spices from losing their flavor as quickly. Plus, the stainless steel is a neat, uniform look for any kitchen.

This is a nice storage container. I use it (and other similar containers) to store loose leaf tea, and they do a good job. This one is very reasonably priced and has a good seal that isn't fiddly like the seals on some lesser products.

    The container closed.

Love it. I use mine for storing rice. It seals completely, and both the canister and the lid are heavy and well-made. Given the price, I had expected something a bit flimsy, but was pleasantly surprised when I took this one out of the box.

Great container! It is very airtight and latches tightly. I'm probably going to use it for brown sugar to keep it soft but still easily accessible.

2 Qt. Stainless Steel Ingredient Storage Canister

Perfect for storing our spices and sugars and flours. We could not be happier with these. They are easy to clean, easy to stack on our shelves and the pantry always looks neat & clean. Stainless steel allows me to not worry.

I quite like this canister for home use. This size perfectly fits my 1lb bag of dried hibiscus petals, so I would expect it to be perfect for bulk orders of loose leaf tea. The lid is clear which is nice to see through, although if you're worried about light oxidizing whatever you store in here you might want to cover it with a label. The hinge is easy to open, although the metal handle feels a bit cheap because it's so thin. I don't know if it would hold up to restaurant use (if you put something fragrant in here you'll be able to tell it's not an airtight seal), but it works well enough in my home kitchen.

This canister is about 7.5" tall...

This is really nice larges option of these containers! 2 qt can hold a lot. Perfect stile and great quality! Price is great too! I would recommend this product to anyone!

    large container

We have several sizes of these. They are all good quality and keep pantry moths out and the items fresher. I did find the 2 quart to be a bit more awkward to use since I ordered it for storing sugar, and it's a little narrow for scooping -- particularly as it gets lower in the container -- but the quality is the same as the other canisters in the line.

The 2 Qt. Stainless Steel Ingredient Storage Canister with Clear Plastic Lid is a great buy. The inside rubber gasket helps to keep ingredients fresh and it's easy to clean.

These might have been my very first WebstaurantStore purchase. I was reading a lot of hippie blogs and trying to reduce plastic use around the house. With glass jars being freakin heavy and not great for stacking, I purchased (MANY) of these canisters in the 26oz and 2qt sizes to use for pantry staples. Beans, baking powder, salt, pasta, you name it. Everything but flour, sugar, and baking soda, which I kept in matching larger containers (not available on WebstaurantStore). My rating: 2.5 stars, rounded up to 3. Likes: I am REALLY into uniformity for organization and appearances. I created labels for the top and side of each canister. They stacked neatly in my kitchen pantry. They are just about as featherweight as a container can be. They are reasonably priced compared to the other brand. The cafeteria at my work used very similar containers for oatmeal (brown sugar, cranberries, raisins, granola) and salad bar (seeds, croutons, etc) toppings. Although I wasn’t ever in love with these, I didn’t see a better option at the time. Dislikes: There are definite imperfections. These aren’t as easy to get clean as glass/plastic and they don’t seem to come perfectly clean depending upon what has been stored inside. Removing the labels leaves marks that will be difficult to get out. One of the items I stored in these was [colored] sports drink powder. I didn’t make a huge effort to scrub the containers out, but I am pretty sure they are permanently stained. Several of the gaskets would consistently detach from the lids when opened, frustrating me to no end. Why are so many storage containers round? They waste space in the corners, as opposed to square/rectangular ones that maximize it. They do dent, although that wasn’t a huge issue. Overall, unless you really like the looks of these, I’d steer you towards something else (see bottom for my perfect match). The One: I haven’t been as much into flower power lately (even trading in my baking soda/vinegar hair cleansing routine for gasp store bought shampoo & conditioner). I recently saw a photo of a home pantry using the other brand pop top square bottom containers. The pop top didn’t appeal to me that much, but I LOVE square containers and it was nice to be able to see inside with the clear sides. The prices are astronomical though and it’s difficult/not possible/ridiculously expensive to buy individually creating your own set. I came across the Cambro Polycarbonate Food Storage Containers on WebstaurantStore and knew they were meant for me. I stopped eating grains and sweets about six months ago, so significantly fewer containers were needed. They are more expensive than these canisters but worth the extra price. I chose the translucent covers and they snap nice and tight on the containers. The containers could definitely be dropped without breaking or lids coming off. Thus far, I’ve purchased the 2qt, 4qt, and 8qt sizes. For the kitchen, I use mostly 2qt with some 4qts. I use them for items as varied as homemade laundry detergent, Wrigley the Maltese’s kibble, Epsom salt, and ground eggshells for my chickies. I do wish they came in square 1qt sizes. As much as I didn’t want to, I purchased some round 1qts. Although they are not square, I’m ok with them. I use them for things I don’t want to have to store the refrigerator, but do anyways to preserve shelf life (e.g. nuts). I use them in the freezer too, to store tablespoons of tomato paste, bacon grease, and lime/lemon juice, frozen fruit, yogurt, and more. I’m sure they could be used in the refrigerator to store prepared foods, but for now, I’m happy with my other branded jars and mason jars.

While I do love the look and price of them, I wish they had a better seal. I wouldn't say they are airtight, but I suppose they will do the job.

These are great storage containers, we use them to store flours and sugars in the kitchen. They look nice with brushed stainless on the outside and they seal up great with a big silicone gasket.

Kind of cheesy little legs but other than that he's a really really nice that's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 Stars holds plenty of space in the seal should keep everything nice and fresh inside

love these 2 qt canisters. they look so nice, we handle these daily and easy to wipe clean. many uses. we have chocolate chips and sprinkles in these

    Posted on

These look fancy and sophisticated on your countertop or storage area. Lid closes tightly and we use it to hold everything from nuts to coffee to spices. They do tend to leave fingerprints but nothing that a simple wipe won't clean up.

Use these to help keep flours, sugars, and spices dry and fresh. The lids snap down tight and have kept our ingredients from clumping even in Texas humidity.

We use this at home to store some of the larger items that we purchase but use, like the gravy Makes a great seal and easy to have them on hand.

I bought these to replace my red plastic/light metal containers for flour and sugar. Let me say- not only do these make my at-home bakery look more professional, but they keep everything fresh and dry! I have no problem with these and would definitely buy them again!

Great convenience, easy to open, easy to close. Tight seal so I know my products are safe. We have ever dropped one and it didn't pop open, which was definitely a relief. Would definitely purchase more of these in the future.

    from Rainbow Juices Posted on

This 2 quart stainless steel canister is very big - too big for coffee whole beans or ground up coffee. Also, most of the lids are not tight seal the container. But it is made with good materials and quality especially for this price. Good buy.

Solid stainless steel container that is great for holding a variety of different ingredients. I specifically use them for coffee and like the clear top and clasping mechanism.

These canisters are AWESOME. I've never worried about the safety of my dry goods-- these seem to seal very tightly, and the clear lids make it easy to find what you're looking for. Plus, they look great on a shelf. Will be buying more.

Jar is sturdy and well made. My one main complaint is that the rubber is a bit loose so it falls off easily and frequently.

    Posted on

we bought these to store our bulk loose tea in and they are ideal. they are airtight, keep most of the light out and look sharp on the counter behind the bar.

    from whcb Posted on

Bought these canisters for storing ground and whole bean coffee. Perfect size for a whole pound. Nice, fat seal keeps the freshness in and they're easy to clean.

from t.m. uli & son Posted on

This is a really great container. I use mine for some sugar and it works great has the seal to keep it fresh and unlike glass if this drops on its side should still be good but wouldn't recommend trying that

These little containers are perfect if you buy dry ingredients in bulk but need to keep more manageable amounts handy (e.g., sugar and other sweeteners, different types of flour, salt, etc). The containers also help to keep out any liquid which could easily ruin the contents.

from B's Kitchen & Koffee Posted on

This next larger size is a greater bargain for the price. It's a nice design, and look great out on the counter. These will be useful for any kitchen.

    from Joe Posted on

Perfect for coffee and flour. Very well made. Easy to handle and the lid works very well. I will definitely buy this container to hold other ingredients. Also, it looks very nice on a granite as well as on a stainless table.

I have just enjoyed these canisters since ordering them. Other canisters from other stores had reviews of them rusting after a short time or tearing up. I have been using these steadily since opening our business over a month ago and have experience no problems up until now. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a fashionable way to store items in public view.

from Miller Enterprise LLC Posted on

I bought three of these and one of each of the two smaller canisters and really like the fact that these have that airtight locked position. However-- they are a bit difficult to clean, they have a rubber ring around the lid that comes off for cleaning but is hard to get back on once off. They also aren't as big as I had thought they were and hold not quite and entire bag of sugar or flour which is kind of inconvenient. Overall they're a great product if you don't need them to hold a whole lot. Good for bags of chocolate chips or candies.

    from Amber H Posted on

We use these cannisters to hold our selection of loose teas, and our hot chocolate powders. They have held up very well over the past 8 months and are not showing any signs of wear. Sometimes the soft plastic ring seal will fall off, but it's no problem putting it back in place. They are practical and look very nice sitting out on our marble counter tops.

Very good price, good design, durable locking. I have used this during 1 and half month. Also I used other brand one. I cannot find difference between 2 products.

Having loved the original purchase I made of the 26 Ounce size canisters, I went back and bought more in the larger size here. I am very happy with them. The look great and they are an attractive counter topper. I know I'll be back again when I need more storage solutions.

Dragonwell Loose Leaf Green Tea I love these canisters for dry storage!

Rubber gaskets seal air tight, hooks on edge of lid line up, well made, expect it to last for years. This is also a very attractive product, perfect for an open kitchen. Useful not only as a practical item, but as a decorative one.

I really like the 64 oz. stainless steel ingredient storage canister with the clear plastic lid. The seal on the lid is very good, and the brushed stainless steel is attractive and durable. I like being able to judge the level of the contents without having to open the container. Overall a very good value.

    Posted on

The container is slimmer than my previous coffee container, so it fist in my cupboard way better. The seal is very tight, so it keeps my coffee grounds dry and the flavour does not escape. Very handy to justy pop the top open and don't have to deal with a loose lid.

This large narrow stainless steel container does not take too much space on the shelf and has endless uses. It is perfect to bring soups and salads on picnics. Well-made product.

This container allows no air in and helps keep dry ingredients fast. On a humid day, you can try this container to lock it out if closed/sealed properly. It lacks in design, but sometimes a silver container is just the sleekness needed in the kitchen.
