I purchased two of the sifters for my new bakery and the first time I used each of them the handles came completely off. I thought I could maybe use them without the handles but now I can barely turn the sifter. I would not recommend this product!

I really like the sifter. I wasn’t sure which size to get, but this big one will also easily sift small amounts of flour. It does it easily and quickly with a minimum of our meals. I am limited physically so I really appreciate that. I only have one issue/question. The knob doesn’t stay on it all. It never did. The knob is not threaded so I just kinda sits on the little handle. Sometimes it makes it weird to use because it falls right off. Is this normal for this contraption? Other than that, it’s a great sifter. Even maybe with it. It’s better than my using a spoon and a strainer :-)

from Little Mountain Spices Posted on

We really enjoy the large capacity. Flour goes through more quicker especially with double the amount of beater. Good stainless steel quality. We put it in our commercial washer and it seems to be holding up well.

    from Carine O. Posted on

This is a nice sized sifter. Works great, we love the rotary styled sifters. Though the knob came off pretty easily and we couldn't get it back on, but it still works.

from Shivers Frozen Custard Posted on

Nice big sifter. We use for sifting and sprinkling powdered sugar. One drawback we have found that it gets beat up in the dishwasher so we wash ours by hand.

from Younglife Saranac Village Posted on

Doesn't quite fit the 8 cups it advertises (more like 7), but it is a good flour sifter. I like the handle on the side.

    Posted on

this is a big sifter and very helpful not to spread flour everywhere like with other sifters. Looks very durable and super easy to use

    Posted on

If you hand make a lot of fried foods then you will often need to sift your flour. This does the trick in small quantities.

    from Alumni Grill Posted on

I ordered three sifters and while using two of them the handle fell apart and the washer that held the knob on almost got in my product. So I thought maybe I can use it without the knob but now one of them is barely turning. Extremely disappointed. Contacting Web tomorrow for a refund.

The size is perfect for sifting larger amounts of dry ingredients. The only set back is that it has to be hand washed to prevent rusting

    Rotary Flour Sifter

This is a very handy rotary flour sifter. It holds about 8 cups of flour. It makes it very easy to bake. I recommend it

This large flour sifter is great for baking. It's big enough to hold multiple ingredients for larger batches. The handle turns easily and quickly. The only drawback is it must be hand washed to prevent rust.

from The Savage Patch Posted on

    Flour sifter

8 cups of flour puts a fair bit of resistance against the agitator, so this takes quite a bit of forearm and hand strength to use for any length of time. That said, if you have the muscle and the need to sift a lot of flour this can get it done.

    Posted on

The size of this sifter is perfect for large production of baked goods since it can fit up to 5-6 Cups of flour. It has a very efficient spinner wheel inside.

    from Pamela Wasabi Posted on

I used to have a smaller one and I’m so glad I upgraded to a bigger size! I can get more done in less time and this is so easy to use. I wish I could pop this thing in the dishwasher, but I can live with washing it by hand.

I really like the capacity of this sifter. It's a good size for small bakeries/businesses that are still making smaller batches of dough or batter. That being said, the action is a little jilted, almost like the internal piece is catching on the side of the cylinder. I'm hoping that maybe it'll just break in some more as I use it.

I needed a larger sifter but I find this one clumsy to use. the turn wheel is stiff and the knob kept coming off. Like others I found I could not put very much in it without it throwing it back out. I finally just tossed it out.

Easy to use softer that has a great construction. Woks as it should and we are excited to be using it! Will last a long time as it is made well.

    from Coffee Noir Posted on

High quality stainless steel product.. make sure it's completely dry before you sift anything... sifting should be slow and steady, otherwise you will get some flour out of it

from Wholly Sweets Bake Shop Posted on

It's a nice flour stiffer. However, you can only stiff little by little, when put more than half of flour into cup, the roller will stuck

    Posted on

Love the large capacity. My flour goes through more quicker. Then a smaller size of capacity. You can use to sift flour. To putting a powder sugar equal covering on desserts of your choice. I took a star because the little black crack handle. Keeps coming off. I was it under the sink with soapy water.

    from Antoinette Bakery Posted on

Very cheap sifter! Did not last a week in my bakery. The handle got to where it would not turn the sifter wheel inside therefor making it pointless to have.

this item works great for sifting the powder sugar for the icing. The handle is sturdy and the stainless steel stays shiny. It's a great product!

The capacity of this sifter is very nice and it's made with food safe materials. However, on the third use, the handle fell off. After careful examination, I can't believe this isn't reported more frequently. The way the handle, drive shaft and mounting pin are designed and assembled, the nut that secures the handle to the drive shaft must eventually come off due to rotating the handle in a clock wise fashion. This places reverse motion pressure on the nut and causes it to loosen. We have 80 cups of powdered sugar to sift this afternoon. The handle design is very disappointing. At least the handle goes back on fairly easily, but sure enough, after another load is sifted, it's time to tighten the handle again. Good thing it is a low cost. All things considered, it's NOT a professional grade design, but the materials and capacity are excellent. Low cost is another plus. Hmm. OK - I'm giving it a generous three stars.

This is a great size sifter for the amount of frosting I make. The stainless steel construction is great and the movement is pretty smooth. The only issue so far is that on the first use the bolt keeping the black handle one came unscrewed and it was a bit difficult to put back on.

This is big but extremely useful for the bigger jobs when a small strainer would seemingly take forever. It's very sturdy and of good construction.

The 8 cup stainless steel rotary Flour sifter was an upgrade from a smaller sifter that just wasn't getting the job done, this one allows us to prepare more food in less time. sturdy and easy to use, very happy with our purchase.

This is an excellent high capacitysifter. I really like the feel of it and the smooth operation of the rotary handle. The only problem that I experienced was that the handle's knob was not correctly assembled and the knob fell off. Otherwise, it was just what I needed for quick and efficient sifting.

cheaply made. Yes the price is cheap, but it's not even worth the money. pay up and get a better one. I guess for a few times a year use, it might get you by. But if you do volume, or rely on this product to produce, it doesn't get the job done. Cheap craftsmanship and construction.

I have a love and hate relationship with this shifter. I love the rotary beater effect in the shifter that mixes the flour, sugar, or whatever easily. However, I hate the fact the black knob handle keeps falling off or feels like it's falling off.

I love the capacity and the speed of sifting. This makes prepping dry ingredients quick and efficient! My handle also fell off immediately; I just tossed the handle out. It does stick every turn or so, but it's not that noticeable to me.

    Posted on

This isn't half bad! It is big which I wanted and does cut down on the time it takes to sift anything but it doesn't turn really smooth and you can only spin it 1 direction. But for me it works out alright.

I was not happy with this stainless steel flour sifter. It touched the metal with every turn of the handle and put small pieces of metal in whatever I was sifting. I threw it away and to be fair to webstaurant, this is the first time for them to hear about this problem.

A nice sifter with a good size capacity. The main issue we have had is with that black handle that just does not stay on.

from Just like Home Posted on

This sifter is the best of the best. We tried two sifters before and both broke, very hard to use and harder to clean up. This one works perfect, easy and fast. Clean up process is a breeze. Will recommend to buy it. Quality and prices are awesome too, the service as always, thanks Webstaurant.

We needed some heavy duty sifters for all the flour and powdered sugar we go through, and these fit the bill great! Love how quickly they sift!

    from Sophisticakes Posted on

Nice and ergonomic sifter. Holds a good amount of product. I mostly use this for cocoa and appreciate the height: it allows me to quickly sift high fat cocoa without dispersing (*too) much all over the counter.

from South Street Cafe Posted on

This is great for all my sifting it's actually larger than I thought which is great. I use it for conf. Sugar and my pastry flours..

    Posted on

A great sifter for medium-sized batches. The handle makes for a no-mess sift and the end result is a well-sifted flour perfect for baking cakes.

from The Cupcake Doctor Posted on

When this first arrived, my first thought was this was so much larger than the one my mom used. But then I realized I can sift large amounts very easily and love it. Now I don't have to worry about doubling various recipes because I won't have to worry about all the 'extra' work now. Some have said that the wood handle comes off - and if that happens to me, I'll just glue it on or try something else - because it won't stop me from using it. Very well made and I look forward to using it for quite awhile.

    Posted on

A somewhat decent product, sifts dry goods as advertised. Do note that if you're left-handed, it's awkward - I didn't think about that when I ordered it. Also, black handle keeps needing to be screwed back on, it becomes loose and falls off quite easily.

    Posted on

This sifter is okay. I don't like that product does tend to get stuck in the cracks and creases. Making it difficult to just dust or brush out. If you do have to run it through the dishwasher or wash it and the water does not dry off, it will rust veryyyy quickly.

    Posted on

It's a sifter, it does its job, but after a few turns the wooden handle came off. It's just attached with a nut, so you could reattach it easily, but try finding a tiny wrench to reattach...i've just left it off.

from Bake Me Happy, LLC Posted on

This a very handy sifter! It is quite large and holds many cups of flour at one time, so it makes short work of large jobs. The only problem I have is the black knob on the handle falls off, but you can turn it regardless.

I like the sifter in general. It can handle a lot of flour at a time; much more than my old sifter. However, like some other comments I saw, the knob on the handle flew off the first time I used it. I put the washers back on that also fell off (luckily not in my batter) but the screw seems to be stripped. Not sure on the design of the handle. Will have to be cautious using this but overall, the sifting part works great.

    from Sweet Sense Posted on

We have used this sifter for three years now and still love it! It has a big enough capacity to handle the dry ingredients for large batches and sifts everything with only a couple of rotations. The knob popped off the handle once, but it was easy enough to push back on.

from Sugarpie Bakery & Cafe Posted on

I have run a funnel cake stand for a fundraiser for different non profits organizations in my area, and these work absolutely fabulous for sifting powered sugar onto the funnel cakes. I would highly recommend.

    Posted on

This does take two hands, but you put dry ingredients in first, and then sift into your bowl. The one hand sifters with spring mechanism offer the advantage of being able to stir while yo sift, but be aware that, unless they are made exceptionally well, they can be terribly hard on the hand muscle. This is a user friendly style.

    Posted on

This is a good hand sifter for small batches. It works well for making cupcakes where you can pour the ingredients in with one hand and sift with the other.

    Posted on

Great for mixing most of your dry ingredients together as long as they're not too big. Holds plenty of flour as long as your not passing like 8 cups.

    Posted on

This is a piece of advice from a baker's daughter... NEVER put your sifter in dishwasher, or near water. It will ruin the mechanism... just take a lightly --and I mean lightly dampened cloth and wipe around the top rim... tap the rest upside down. Dry indgredients such as flour does not make the sifter dirty. The same with your oven... do not use chemical ingredients to clean it... just scrape and wipe clean if drips occur.. as it is "seasoned"... Makes for better baking, cooking overall without all the fumes from the chemicals. If anything..just use baking soda..cleans it right up and natural.

What a disaster. I was very excited to use my brand new sifter until I learned it did not sift as much as it threw dry ingredients over the edge and onto the counter with every turn of the handle. The next revelation was that the knob on the crank was loose, then it came off completely, a small washer that I'm guessing was supposed to help keep the knob in place flew off into the batter I had made so it all had to be thrown out. The knob on the handle would not stay in place so the next place this sifter is going is the dumpster. Do not purchase this !

    from redheadcarrotcake Posted on

Thanks for your review! This sifter is designed to sift up to 8 cups of flour at a time. Anymore flour will probably result in some spilling over the edges.
