This kit comes with all the cleaning supplies you’ll need to make sure your slicer is cleaned, sanitized, and lubricated. For the ultimate protection against injury while cleaning your slicer, the kit comes with Carlisle’s innovative easy slicer cleaning wand and a pack of 60 scrub pads, a cut resistant glove, powerful Formula-D spray degreaser, Noble Chemical QuikSan spray sanitizer, and Lubriquik food grade silicone. It also comes with a brush to get to those hard-to-reach places and detailed instructions on how to use everything in the kit. To clean your slicer, please follow these quick and easy steps: always use cut resistant gloves when cleaning your slicer. Attach the cleaning pad to the tip of the slicer cleaning wand and spray the pad with QuikSan sanitizer. Turn the thickness control knob to zero, and turn the slicer on. While the slicer is in motion, run the cleaning pad along the front and back of the blade. Turn the slicer off. Disconnect the power source, and discard the cleaning pad. Remove the product table, slice deflector, and the center plate. Wash, rinse, and sanitize the removed parts, and let them air dry. Clean the slicer’s exterior and the blade with Formula-D degreaser. Wipe from the center of the blade outward. Using a clean cloth, rinse the entire unit with warm water. Do not submerge the unit. Spray QuikSan sanitizer onto the slicer product areas and the blade. Allow time to air dry. Use Lubriquik spray to lubricate the table slide rod, and if applicable, the end-weight slide rod. Finally, reassemble the slicer, and you’re good to go.     After a recommendation from a friend, I decided to have a look at the Avantco SL310 slicer to replace a cheap slicer for my home kitchen use where I slice meat 2 or 3 times a week. I wanted something durable that could slice deli thin slices or thicker as needed and something that would last me for a LONG time. I decided to give the Avantco a try and I'm glad I did. After using this slicer for several months I am convinced that it will last me for a LONG time and I am quite satisfied with it. It's durable and easy to use. In my opinion this slicer is rather easy to clean. There are two twist off knobs require to remove the slider and the blade face plate and then three phillips head screws to remove the blade. I can have it broken down in about 3 minutes or less. It takes me 5 to 8 minutes to wipe it down and remove any debris and then sanitize the parts and another two or 3 minutes to put it back together. To me, thats about as easy as it gets for cleaning something like this. I clean it completely after every use and have no issues with the time or difficulty of that process.     Outstanding value for the price! Large enough to hold a brisket in the carriage and a wide range of thickness selections from paper thin to over 1/2". My only complaint is the meat guard on the back of the blade does not sufficiently match the profile of the blade to keep stray meat from being pulled behind the blade. Other than that I would not hesitate to purchase again or recommend this Avantco slicer.

    Love this! Just used, cleaned & reassembled for the first time. Sliced an eye of round into paper thin slices with no problems. Cleaning it properly is a 15 minute job, but I'm super fussy. Actually cleaning it was not as bad as I expected. This is a quality piece of equipment, I'm very pleased!

    Slicey slicey slicey! It's slice city over here at the restaurant ever since we got this slicer. We alive bacon. And we slice arrows. And we slice carrots. We slice ham. It's more than good. It's grrrrrrrrereeat!

    For a light duty slicer, you can't beat the price. Light duty by my definition means I have to take time to clean it. A cut proof glove is a must for cleaning this thing. The cleaning kit helps with the every day wipe down, but if you slice something fatty (bacon) then you'll want to clean it down deep which takes some doing. As far as actual slicing goes, this thing definitely holds it's own. The carriage has smooth action and the slices are clean.

    This is one of the great investment I made for my kitchen. It is very easy to use, to clean and most of all is it very compact. Higly recommend for small space.
    Very happy with this purchase! Would definitely recommend. We are a small hobby farm that raises/process our own food and this worked like a charm for slicing bacon! The machine runs quiet and smooth. Make sure to buy the cleaning kit that is recommended. We did and do not regret it. Some reviews complained about the clean up process but we had not trouble at all. Definitely glad we spent the extra money for this unit.
    We are very happy with this deli slicer. It replaced a residential one. Our only complaint is that even though it has a 10 inch blade, the stand to hold the food feeds into the blade in the middle of the blade instead of closer to the bottom. Poor design in my opinion, but still works great
    Perfect and doesn't take up alot of space. Slices meats (ham, pastrami, chicken and turkey breast) quickly and is still going strong after having for over a year plus.

    This meat slicer works great. It is very easy to clean and it fits perfectly in our small kitchen. It is even sharp enough to slice bread if we need it.
    After burning out a few cheap slicers this one has held up and worth the price. We make our seitan in house so we do not use meat on it but the seitan is firmer then meat and it makes the most beautiful slices. Easy to take a part and clean.
    Nice, durable and compact, this meat slicer works like a charm. The blade is so thin and very sharp that I nicked myself pretty bad on the fourth usage. A nice clean cut. Overall, a good equipment.
    After several years of using this slicer I would still highly recommend it. Blade stays sharp for extended periods of time and cleans fairly easy. Only thing is that I should have researched was the length of the glide. It works perfect for summer sausage and small items but does have some issues with wider items such as bacon.
    This is the best slicer for the money on the market. Super easy to clean and maintain. Use it daily and it holds very well.
