I was worried that my crust might stick, since this isn't nonstick, but I just greased it with the wrapper from the butter than went into the crust and cut a sheet of parchment paper to go on the bottom, and had no issues. This is a great pan for feeding a crowd. I made a French silk pie with a graham cracker crust. You need exactly double the amount of crust compared to what's needed for a 9" (standard sized) pie pan. The volume for the filling is actually the same as a 9" pie pan, because even though the surface area is the doubled, the height is much shorter. It fed about 20 people, although a cut the slices very narrow because the pie was so rich. I'm so glad I got this pan though!
