Lancaster Table & Seating: How to Assemble Cross Back Chairs. Before starting, make sure you have all the required pieces. First, lay the chair on its back so you can easily access the seat portion of the chair. Holing the cushion vertically, align it with the frame and the corresponding holes. There should be four screw holes- one in each approximate corner of the chair. Place one screw in each hole, turning to the right to tighten each and attach the cushion to the frame. Once all four screws are aligned and tightened, setup is complete.
