How to Assemble a Restaurant Table Base

Before furnishing your bar or restaurant with stylish and sturdy tables, watch this video to learn how to assemble a restaurant table base! Here you'll find the parts and the steps needed for successful assembly.

We offer many different styles of restaurant table bases so you can make the most out of your seating area. Great for any restaurant or bar, indoors or outdoors, these items have different features, colors, and materials to suit your needs. Choosing the right table base ensure that your tabletops have a sturdy foundation, and provides ample foot room for your customers. Certain table bases include special features. If you have an outdoor dining area, we have units with an umbrella hole, so that you can shield your customer from direct sunlight. We have bases that are specifically designed to meet bar height, including some units with a metal foot rest ring so that your customers can prop their feet and sit comfortably. We even carry self-leveling bases that are adjustable on uneven surfaces. To narrow down your search, you'll want to decide if you prefer table bases on legs or a slim frame, or an actual solid base. Those with a slim framework make it easier to move chairs in and around the table base. However, our solid rectangular, round and square bases with essential column provide sturdy support and a uniform look for your rectangular, round, or square tabletops. Our butterfly style bases can accommodate a standard height or bar height table. Their slim frame is strong enough for an outdoor setting. Cross bases are shaped like an X or have legs that are crisscrossed around a central column. We also offer cantilever brackets that are mounted to the wall to hold rectangular tabletops, as commonly seen in restaurant table booths. And, our T-shaped bases support long, rectangular table tops. Table bases come in many different materials, including aluminum, cast iron, chrome-plated metal, powder-coated steel, and stainless steel. Whether you select a table base in black, gray, or silver, you are sure to find the right color and material to blend well with your tabletop and surrounding decor.

Assembling your restaurant table base can be done with ease by following a few quick steps! Begin by placing your threaded rod through the hole in the spider, until the end of the rod sits in the top of the spider. Flip this over to then place the column over the threaded rod, and slide it down until it touches the spider. Align the center of the base with the column, and push the end of the threaded rod through the hole in the base. Place the washer and the nut on the threaded rod, and use a wrench to screw the nut into place. When screwing the nut in, make sure that the top of the threaded rod is tight against the spider, which will help to ensure that your base will be stable. Screw the glides into the bottom of the base to finish up the assembly. The first thing you’ll do is to take the threaded rod, and slide it through the hole on the spider. Note that the top of the threaded rod will slip into this indentation on the spider. Next add the column, and turn upside down. Now place the base atop this column, making sure it is properly aligned. Now place the washer and nut on the threaded rod, as you screw the nut, make sure that you can feel that the top of the rod is locked inside the indentation on the spider…you may have to pull up and turn a bit. Tighten the nut, and your base is almost finished. Just screw the glides onto the base and you are done. To mount on the table, just place the base onto the center of the table top, making sure to measure, and attach with screws through the holes in the spider.
