When you replace either the brush roll or the secondary filter with the new one, you have to reset the diagnostic indicator light. Gently push the tip of a pen or paperclip into the opening marked with a triangle and toggle to the proper setting. Then, press and hold the tip into the opening marked with a square until the light turns off. The indicator is now reset. There are also LED resetting instructions located inside the bag housing.

There are two filters on the cleaner: a secondary HEPA filter that traps 99.97% of dust and pollens down to 0.3 microns and a replaceable final filter that filters carbon dust from the motor. The LED light on the diagnostic panel will signal if the secondary filter is dirty or needs to be replaced. To remove the filter, turn the power off and unplug the unit. Open and remove the bag door, grasp the center tab at the bottom of the filter, and pull straight out. The metal safety lever will prevent the bag the bag door from closing until the secondary filter has been properly installed. Insert the clean or new filter by lifting the metal safety lever and sliding the bottom of the filter into the slots. With the filter in place, reattach the bag door and reset the diagnostic panel. The final filter should be checked and replaced when it's dirty. Use the tab to release the filter cover and replace the filter.

Simply put the cleaner into the upright position, remove the combination hose, wand, and handle grip, and connect the desired tool attachment. The upholstery nozzle can be used for upholstered furniture, draperies, mattresses, auto interiors, and carpeted stairs. The crevice tool is used in tight spaces, corners, and along baseboards, dresser drawers, and stairs. You can also remove the hose from the extension wand and attach the tools directly to the hose. When you're finished using tools, store the hose and wand combination along with the tool attachments back onto the cleaner. Be sure there is no gap between the wand and the storage channel.

When the LED performance light for the brush roll is blinking, the brush roll is jammed, needs to be checked, and cleaned. When the LED light stays on, the bristles are worn and the brush roll needs replaced. To service the brush roll, turn the power off, and unplug the power cord. Set the nozzle on its side with the brush roll side plate facing up. Push the brush roll release button forward and remove the side plate. Turn the brush roll clockwise a quarter turn and lift straight out. You can either clean the brush roll or replace it if a new one is needed. Slide the brush roll straight down into the nozzle, turn counter-clockwise a quarter turn to lock into place, and snap the side panel back into place. If you replace a brush roll with a new one, you will need to reset the LED indicator.

The LED light on the diagnostic panel will signal when the bag is full. To replace the bag, turn the power off, and unplug the unit. Lift up on the bag door release latch and remove the door, grasp the orange plastic bag collar on the outside corners, and pull out to remove the bag. When the bag is removed, the plastic flap will seal the bag opening to prevent dust from escaping the bag. Do not attempt to clean out or reuse a dirty bag. Install a new bag by holding the plastic collar on the corners and sliding into place. Align the tabs on the bag door with the slots at the bottom. Hold up on the door latch, pivot back to close, and press down on the latch. As a safeguard, the bag door latch will not close until a bag has been installed.

To assemble, remove the contents from the carton, which include: the handle assembly, nozzle assembly, bag housing, a wand with a handle grip and hose, extension cord, and the tool attachments. No tools are required to assemble the unit. Simply place the nozzle on a flat surface with the neck and support lever in the upright locked position. Hold the bag housing vertically over the neck and support lever and press down firmly to lock into place. Push the end of the nozzle hose into the opening at the bottom of the bag housing until it clicks into place. Lift up on the handle lock, insert the handle as far down as it will go, and press the handle lock back down. Pull up on the handle to make sure it's securely locked. Next, insert the wand by aligning the graphic on the handle grip with the same graphic inside the storage channel. Hold the wand at a slight angle, set the bottom into the storage channel, and pivot into place. Be sure there is no gap between the wand and the storage channel. Connect the hose end into the top of the bag housing. Make sure the crevice tool and upholstery tool are stored properly on the back of the cleaner. The 35' extension cord connects to a quick-change, 3-wire power cord and stores neatly on the cord hooks on the back and has a convenient quick-cord release. Inside the bag housing, there's an allergen filtration bag and a long-life HEPA filter. The cleaner is now properly assembled and ready to operate.
