Customer questions about this product

What's the difference between a riveted and a welded handle?
A riveted handle is connected by small metal pieces (called rivets) that are crushed between the handle and the pan body to attach them together. This type of handle is more common on copper and aluminum cookware.

For a handle to be welded, the metal must first be melted and then adhered to the pan body. This creates a strong bond that leaves little to no space in between, so bacteria and other food crumbs can’t collect and cause sanitation issues. Both are long lasting solutions for fry and sauce pan handles because they are durable and can withstand heat.
My item arrived coated with a thin layer of oil. What is this oil for, and is it ready for immediate use?
Some carbon steel pans and woks are shipped with a protective oil coating from the factory to prevent them from rusting before their first use. They must be thoroughly washed with warm soapy water to remove all traces of the oil, and then properly seasoned before use.

These are high quality pans, heat evenly and are well made, I would recommend them to everyone and please watch the video on how to season them properly

This pan is what I would call "very light weight". It arrived bent causing the top of the fry pan to look like an oval. The pan is thin enough that I could actually bend it back by hand. For the price I didn't expect much more than the quality described. Just know this is not a heavy duty steel fry pan.

A good size small pan, these french carbon steel pans have disappointed us because they are so thin. Once seasoned, they are very non stick, but the seasoning process puts off some gnarly fumes.

We own most of these carbon steel fry pans and like them all. They are a great value for quality pans. We use this quite a bit because of the size, and we find it doesn't stick at all for us.

I am a fan of these carbon steel pans. They season up easily, cook well, and last forever. These pans are an overall good value.

Good pan. A little hard to season but once it got going it worked well. I'm a little worried about durability because I hear snaps/cracks when the pan heats up and cools down coming from the base of the handle. They're rivets so they don't stick out at all.

Nice pan to learn the tricks of cooking with Carbon steel. I followed mfg. instructions on seasoning - it is ok. I did have stickage of product when frying but will continue to use the pan to season it.

I really like this frying pan. I was a bit worried about ordering it since it was significantly less expensive and had no reviews, but so far, so good. It is a bit lighter weight than I expected and my only real concern is where the handle connects to the pan. Even though it is riveted, it feels just a bit flimsy. But I'm using it at home, not in my restaurant, so it should last awhile.
