POSITION SUMMARY
The Inbound Material Handler is responsible for unloading, checking in and stocking new inventory into the warehouse. These tasks must be completed to an efficient and accurate standard to ensure smooth inbound operations. This position requires use of our internal warehouse systems and various warehouse equipment, which may include Powered Industrial Trucks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Unload live domestic deliveries from trailers using forklift equipment, or unload import containers by hand
- Use our ERP system to systematically receive inventory accurately and efficiency, ready to be placed in storage racking
- Move palletized product using pallet jacks/forklift equipment to organize the receiving dock, or transport product to other areas of the Distribution center
- Scan and place inventory in racking locations using forklift equipment and a handheld scanning device, ready for warehouse operations
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and computers, following all established protocols and promoting safe working standards
- Meet all expected performance standards regarding efficiency, accuracy and quality of work
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and reporting any hazards to the appropriate leadership
- Work closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goals
- Abide by all company and warehouse policies
- Flex into other positions and departments and undertake additional duties as necessary to support the overall operation
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- 1 year+ of relevant experience in a distribution environment preferred but not required
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, order pickers, etc.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change; ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence
- Customer service-oriented attitude with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations

- Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 10 hours/day

- Requires the ability to regularly lift / carry 50-75lbs. and push / pull up to 150lbs.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.
