This is your opportunity to join one of the largest and leading online suppliers in the food service industry. Due to rapid growth, Our brand new, 650,000 sq. ft. facility located in Dayton NV is currently looking for hardworking, reliable and highly motivated individuals to join our day shift and night shift Maintenance teams. This position's descriptions designed to outline the primary job duties and qualifications, but is not limited to cross training responsibilities. We offer, on site training and mentoring for all positions.


BASIC OVERVIEW

The Facilities Maintenance Associate is responsible for various duties related to the overall maintenance and operations of the warehouse and property using a variety of power and maintenance tools and several different body mechanics including, but not limited to, bending, lifting, pushing and pulling.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • · Assist in the repair and maintenance of various pieces of warehouse equipment, including conveyor belts and forklifts, Raymond equipment, and the periodic movement and upkeep of racking
  • · Support a variety of maintenance projects related to operational improvements and preventative maintenance of tools and equipment. Tasks can include but not limited to plumbing work, painting, flooring repair, and upkeep
  • · Perform minor fixes to building and property such as repairing broken locks, damage to walls, replacing light bulbs as needed
  • · Install necessary appliances and equipment as needed
  • · Maintain the warehouse yard, including the upkeep and disposal of pallets / skids
  • · Operate various pieces of equipment, including forklifts and floor scrubbers
  • · Report to process improvement and facilities maintenance manager regarding issues resolved, those needing attention, and those currently in progress
  • · Report any forklift issues to manager promptly to ensure they are properly resolved
  • · Maintain a clean work area, including the removal of empty boxes from bins or aisles as needed
  • · Communicate regularly with management to ensure that all equipment is in working order and the Company maintains a safe work environment
  • · Adhere to attendance policy by maintaining regular, predictable on-site attendance, working overtime as needed
  • · Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

  • · Must be 18 or older
  • · 1 year of relevant experience in a distribution environment; Maintenance experience and forklift certification preferred
  • · High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Work a full shift which could range from 8-10 hours.
  • Follow all codes of conduct, safety parameters, productivity, and quality standards, as well as attendance policy.
  • Complete and pass all equipment training
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office- primarily excel, word and teams.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • · Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 10 hours/day
  • · Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing
  • · Requires the regular use of hands and wrists for simple grasping and fine manipulations
  • · Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching
  • · Requires the ability to regularly lift / carry 50-75lbs. and push / pull up to 150lbs.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.


SHIFT SCHEDULES

Night Shift

Monday-Thursday

5:30pm- 4:00 am

*This position may require scheduled overtime


WAGE

$25.00- $35.00+ an hr- with potential raise every 6 months of up to $0.88.
