Reports To: Shipping Supervisor

Shift Hours:

2A: Sunday, Monday & Tuesday (OFF Wednesday-Saturday) 6PM-6:30AM

2B: Wednesday, Thursday & Friday (OFF Saturday-Tuesday) 6PM-6:30AM

Basic Overview: We're hiring short-term roles, 6, 9, & 12 month employment assignments, at our distribution warehouse in Madisonville, KY. Potential bonus opportunities up to $2,500 - $5,000. The Outbound Material Handler will be cross trained between the packing, consolidation, picking and commons departments. In these departments you are responsible for picking, prepping, packing and shipping out customer orders while maintaining quality and speed to ensure customer order is processed in a timely and secure manner. It's essential that the employee be both quick and accurate in these roles to ensure customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities – Packing Room:

  1.  Packing orders to ensure that customers receive the order intact in as short time frame and accurate as possible while maintaining quality and accuracy.
  2. Able to work at a fast pace.
  3. Downsizing packaging so that shipping costs are minimal without sacrificing the quality and insurance that the product will be delivered without damages to the customer.
  4. Safely operating and maintaining warehouse equipment to carry out job duties to ensure a safe work environment.
  5. Keeping work zone clean and orderly so that warehouse is a safe and clean work environment. 
  6. Communicating with warehouse shipping supervisor with any issues or concerns that arise regarding work duties.
  7. Meet and maintain set standards as specified by both supervisor and company.
  8. Performing other duties and tasks not listed as requested by the shipping supervisor.

Job Responsibilities – Consolidation:

  1. Picking orders in the cold room in a timely and efficient way to ensure accuracy and quality to all customers.
  2. Consolidators must maintain efficiency and an adequate speed of keeping the belt moving and clear.
  3. Safely operating and maintaining warehouse equipment to carry out job duties to ensure a safe work environment.
  4. Keep work zone clean and orderly so that warehouse is a safe and clean work environment.
  5. Complete the following tasks when all orders have been consolidated and there are no orders on the belt: cut down boxes, empty cardboard and trash from bins and packing room, clear aisles of all debris, gather large boxes for packers, weekly assigned cleaning tasks.
  6. Communicate with warehouse shipping supervisor and team leader with any issues or concerns that arise regarding work duties.
  7. Performing other duties and tasks not listed as requested by the shipping supervisor.

 

Job Responsibilities - Picking:

  1. Pulling warehouse stock to fulfill orders as they are processed to ensure that customers receive order in a short time frame and as accurate as possible.
  2. Taping, prepping and billing orders to go out to the customer on a mobile device. 
  3. Safely operating and maintaining warehouse equipment to carry out job duties to ensure a safe work environment (must be trained and certified).
  4. Abides by all forklift safety training which includes wearing belt/harness at all times, never carrying passengers who are not in a belt/harness, using horn as needed, maintaining a safe speed and never pulling skids directly from bins with a picker.
  5. Reporting any forklift issues to the team leader or supervisor to ensure they are properly fixed by a trained technician.
  6. Keeping work zone clean and orderly so that warehouse is a safe and clean work environment. This includes removing empty boxes from bins and aisles as needed.
  7. Report any accidents to supervisor immediately.
  8. Performing other duties and tasks not listed as requested by the shipping supervisor or team leader. 

Job Responsibilities - Commons:

  1. Picking orders in a timely and efficient way to ensure accuracy and quality to all customers.
  2. Prepping orders to ensure that customers receive order intact in a short time frame and accurate as possible while maintaining quality and accuracy.
  3. Load finished shipments onto trailer with provided equipment.
  4. Safely operating and maintaining warehouse equipment to carry out job duties to ensure a safe work environment (must be fully trained and certified).
  5. Keep work zone clean and orderly so that warehouse is a safe and clean work environment.
  6. Communicate with warehouse shipping supervisor with any issues or concerns that arise regarding work duties.
  7. Performing other duties and tasks not listed as requested by the shipping supervisor.
  8. Must be able to use all equipment; wrap machine, nail gun, hand saw, and skill saw.
  9. Packing orders to ensure that customers receive the order intact in as short time frame and accurate as possible while maintaining quality and accuracy. 
  10. Able to work at a fast pace.
  11. Meet and maintain set standards as specified by both supervisor and company.

Skills/Abilities:

  1. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 to 100lbs
  2. Must be able to push and pull up 150lbs
  3. Must be able to constantly squat, bend, reach, and, stand throughout entire shift
  4. Must be able to work overtime
