Utility Attendant

Job Description

The Utility Attendant is responsible for various duties pertaining to the overall cleanliness of the warehouse and property.

Job Responsibilities:

• Emptying all Gaylords into the compactors (trash, wrap and cardboard)
• Operating the trash, wrap, and cardboard compactors
• Loading the cardboard truck with full bails (wrap and cardboard)
• Operate equipment to maneuver materials (sit down, stand-up , reach truck)
• Operating the floor scrubber for warehouse cleanup and water removal
• Maintaining our yard (junk skids, good skids)
• General cleaning throughout the warehouse (spills, glass breaks, loose trash)
• General cleanup of warehouse restrooms
• Emptying trash cans throughout the warehouse
• Cleaning of the breakroom (mopping, trash removal, wiping down tables and counters)
• Cleaning of office and conference room areas

Skills/Abilities:

• Must be able push and pull up to 150lbs
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 to 75lbs
• Must be able to constantly bend, reach, climb, squat and stand throughout shift
• Must adhere to all safety guidelines and OSHA standards
• Must have strong communication skills, reporting all issues to manager
• Strong ability to follow oral and written instructions properly
• Must be willing to be trained on equipment if not done so yet
