Job Description

Join one of Pennsylvania’s fastest growing companies today! WebstaurantStore is looking for an Accounting Analyst to join our growing company. This position reports directly to the controller and is responsible for assisting with monthly close, reconciling accounts and daily general ledger posting activities.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure all banking activity has been correctly recorded in the general ledger
  • Reconcile book cash with bank cash activity
  • Reconcile lease payments with customer orders and propose adjustments
  • Reconcile and record bad debt and chargebacks
  • Reconcile order processing system and make necessary adjustments
  • Understand intercompany billings and make recommendations to improve efficiency and organization
  • Assist with identification and classification of fixed assets
    • Take ownership of the management and recording of fixed assets
      • This includes review of those that are capitalized and ensuring completeness
      • Keeping up with the rules & regs regarding capitalization
      • Ensuring accuracy of use tax payments
  • Gain an understanding of our state tax incentives and ensuring we are accurately and timely utilizing all approved incentives
  • Create necessary schedules to track utilization of incentives
  • Completing of reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts
  • Record daily inventory activity
  • Prepare and review journal entries as needed
  • Assist with month-end close activities
    • Including scrubbing the trial balance
    • Explaining variances
    • Preparation of reports used to assist with month-end close
  • Potential for supervisory role
  • Propose and implement changes within the department as deemed necessary
  • Assist with special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with vendors as well as internal and external customers
  • Driven, self-motivated individual to grow with the department and process improve
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team
  • Possess strong MS Excel and MS Access skills
  • Attention to details
  • Able to work accurately at a fast pace
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business required
  • 1 – 2 years of professional accounting experience preferred
