No, the traverse may be slightly shorter than the listed length in order to fit on a shelving unit. For instance, a 36" traverse will be slightly shorter than 36" in order to fit on a 36" shelving unit.

Cambro EXTR54480 Details

As part of the Cambro Camshelving® Elements XTRA series, this EXTR54480 54" universal traverse serves as a replacement part for your preexisting modular shelving system. With a durable composite material core and polypropylene coated exterior, this universal traverse is both strong and stable, while also offering rust and corrosion resistance. This replacement can be used to add additional support to the back of your shelving unit. If you'd like to add an additional shelf to your system, you'll need to purchase two universal traverses.
