Hey guys, we're back with another episode of the Cal-Mil classroom. This week we're gonna show you some of our beautiful wooden serving boards and how to dress them up with delicious food. These boards are great for serving food such as selections of meat and cheese, steaks, burgers, and more. They're meant to upgrade your restaurant to have a more craft-like experience. You can even pair them with one of our tabletop accessories, like our french fry holders, to create an even more unique appearance. We have different types of wood finishes like maple, oak, and walnut in various shapes and sizes. Each board has a groove alongside the edge which prevents any liquids from spilling over the sides in case your burger's a little too juicy. As these boards are meant to have direct contact with food, they will need to be sanitized after each use. What is the best way to clean and care for my wooden item?
All wood products should be hand washed. The heat and chemicals of a dishwasher are harmful to wood’s naturally porous texture. If your product begins to show signs of wear, its finish can be restored with a food safe wood conditioner. First, clean and dry the wood. Then, apply the wood conditioner with a soft cloth or paper towel. Once the conditioner has soaked into the item, buff off any excess with a clean cloth. Having excess conditioner on a wood board will make it feel sticky or oily.
