The Taylor TE10R, and the Taylor TE32R digital portion control scales are very easy to use. Their extra large platform makes them very versatile, and they also have a rechargeable battery that makes them very portable. Today I’m going to take some time to show you the initial setup of these scales, and then also show you some of their basic features. The initial setup of a Taylor TE digital portion control scale is very easy. First thing you’ll do is flip it over. You’re going to open the battery compartment door, and then you’re going to pull out the rechargeable battery. You’ll see there is a little red plug, and this just needs to be plugged into the unit. It’s very simple to figure out because it only goes one way. Then we’ll slide this battery back into the compartment, and close it up. The nice thing about the rechargeable batteries that come with a Taylor scale is that they can be recharged five hundred times. So these will last you a long time. The next thing we’ll do is connect the plug into the back and we’ll plug this in. The nice thing about this is that when you plug this in for eight hours you will have a fourteen hour charge. So it lasts for a long time. I’m going to disconnect this because I have already charged this battery. Now that you’ve seen the initial setup of a Taylor digital scale, I’d like to show you some of the features. Let me put some weight on the platform, and the first thing I’ll show you is this button right here. This allows you to go from fractional ounces, to decimal ounces, to grams, and then it will go back to fractional ounces again. The next feature I will show you is the tear feature. This allows you to weight products in a container without taking into consideration the weight of the container. So right now we see that this container weights 1/2 ounce. I’m going to hit the tear button, and now we’re back down to zero. That allows us to find out the true weight of those tomatoes. One other feature that we have available on this scale is the hold button. With the hold button, when you press it you will see that it flashes right there. You will have that little triangle. This will allow you to continue to see the weight after you’ve taken the product off the platform like so. That will hold for ten seconds. If you want to erase the hold button, you can just click it one more time. That’s it! And of course we have it teared for that container. I’ll hit the tear button again, we’re back to zero, and that’s it! Very easy to use! If you have any questions, please feel free to use our live chat button.
