This mat is in our kitchen between our sink and main table. It provides great cushion for the feet and lessens the impact on our backs compared to the tile floor. It also is a softer surface in case a canned food item is dropped.

Very thick Mats are great for behind the bar. If anything they are a little too thick for what we think is ideal but they are extremely tough and heavy weight.

Cactus Mat Catalina 1437M-G23 2' x 3' Carpet Entrance Floor Mat - Green
These mats are pretty standard. They do collect small pieces from customer/employee shoes, but are easy to vacuum (we use a Shark). They do not slide at all, which is great in our store!
