strong but not too heavy good for chop ready to eat food. Chinese restaurant will use a lot. don't chop for bone. don't just buy one item combo your order save money on shiping.

Very well built and reasonably priced cleaver. It easily hacks through anything you would need it to. It will last for many years with minimal care.

While I prefer the Town 47313 light cleaver over this one it in no way is due to any negative issues with this knife, it simply comes down to preference (my father actually prefers this knife over the smaller one). This is a fantastic knife for slicing, mincing and chopping herbs, vegetables and boneless meats. It is easy to clean and sturdy. You can also use the spine to tenderize meats and the handle to grind up dried herbs and such. The original food processor lol.

If you're in the market for a Chinese chef knife, look no further! I use it for more than Asian foods. Cuts meats and vegetables perfectly. Smash garlic with the flat side and you'll have instant paste. My favorite kitchen knife. don't be intimidated by the size, it's very versitale.

I use this cleaver for quartering whole chickens, cutting the spare ribs and slicing the chicken breast. The cleaver is comfortable and heavy, which is really good. I like this quality cleaver and use it at least 4 times a week. It is so good that it even replaced some of the knifes that I used before. The heavy weight of the cleaver gives the user a great force that is needed when dealing with meat, vegetables and fruits. The price here is cheapest one that I could find on the internet.
