This Town 34714 14" hand hammered Cantonese wok is made of durable 18-gauge cold-forged steel for added strength and comes with riveted handles. The wok has a perfectly rounded shape, even the bottom. It fits a 13" chamber and is 4 1/4" deep.

Note: Carbon steel woks are shipped with a protective coating of oil. The pan must be thoroughly cleaned and seasoned before use.

    This 14" Cantonese wok was a perfect size and non-stick once pre-seasoned. It's also nice not having a handle get in the way like you would with Mandarin woks.

    Very nice. I am new to seasoning the carbon steel woks (just washed and baked and charred it on the stove today), but looking forward to the gradual development of the non stick layer.

    I am really very pleased with my purchase of this Cantonese Wok. I chose this wok because I like the look of the hand hammered style and the ease and convenience of the two smaller handles as opposed to the one longer one handlers because it just stores easier for me this way. Now I am in the midst of seasoning my wok and can hardly wait to use it and I do hope I can update this review after cooking with it. This is my first time purchase with WEBstaurant Store and I must say, in all honesty, the shipping speed was so lightening fast it really took me by surprise! I ordered on Oct. 5..they emailed me awhile later saying their warehouse did not have enough cases in stock of my vinegar and that they were working diligently to accommodate me. So ok, I thought for sure this would delay my shipment..BUT..to my surprise..I get another email the next day from their "oh so efficient customer service" saying "GREAT NEWS! Your order has shipped and on its way!" Man..It blew my mind how on point they were..especially over the weekend! My order arrived home at 3pm today and I am just delighted with everything!

    This wok rusted the first time i used it. I am not happy with it. Didnt matter if i dried it right away. It just kept rusting.

    These are real Chinese woks and like all real woks, they will rust if not seasoned properly. After receiving your wok, a thorough and complete cleaning followed by repeated seasonings is a must. Your wok should be darker in color when done. Properly seasoned and cared for woks will not rust.
