With its 1" thick polished steel plate and custom designed high efficiency burners placed every 12" of cooking surface, the Star 848TSA Ultra Max 48" countertop gas griddle with snap action controls heats evenly and delivers superior cooking performance for high volume operations. Its snap action controls provide accurate temperature adjustment of +/- 20 degrees Fahrenheit from the set point, while its direct spark ignition eliminates pilot lights for increased efficiency. It also boasts a unique internal plate sensor mechanism to accurately measure the temperature of the griddle plate for instant response to surface temperature changes and fast recovery.
Built with durability and convenience in mind, the Star Ultra Max 848TSA features a heavy duty, entirely welded body with heavy duty metal knobs and a stainless steel front, side panels, bull nose and splash guard. The bull nose front stays cool to the touch for a safe, comfortable work zone. Other user-friendly features of the Star Ultra Max 848TSA 48" countertop gas griddle include a "spatula wide" 3 1/2" front grease trough and grease chute for easier cleaning, and a large 6 quart stainless steel grease drawer. Extra heavy duty 4" adjustable legs allow you to match the height of your other countertop cooking equipment, while electronic flame monitoring provides auto-shutoff for added safety.
The Star 848TSA Ultra Max 48" countertop gas griddle comes with a 3/4" NPT male gas connection and is field convertible to natural gas or liquid propane operation. UL Listed. Please consult the Specification Sheet for additional details.
