When I opened the box, I was delighted that this machine comes in a box with a handle so it makes it easy for me to take it somewhere, which I did this past weekend. i went to a large party where we needed coffee for a med/large group and this machine performed like a powerhouse! I bought this though for my home and it fits in with my stainless steel decor. I got tired of tasting plastic flavored coffee, to be honest. The Avantco has all stainless steel innards to you get a fresh tasting cup of coffee that you can't get with most store-bought machines which are made with plastic, yuck! And talk about HOT COFFEE! This machine brews at the optimum temperature so you get a piping hot cup of coffee each time. I also love the " no fuss"/ "no frills" gadgets on this machine. ANYONE can make a cup of coffee with this machine. it's that easy. I also love that this machine is light in weight, easy to move around the counter and easy to transport if needed. Don't worry about having to rewire your whole kitchen to add this machine, it easily plugs into a 3 pronged outlet! Just plug it in, add the coffee, and wait 3 minutes for piping hot coffee. Avantco, thank you for making a durable, low cost, coffee machine. I love it!
By Mark Harter I bought this for personal use since it is the only coffee maker I could find that was all stainless construction. We love it and it looks great in our kitchen. I advise anyone to stop brewing coffee with consumer level plastic coffee makers. The only negative that we got "burned" on was no auto off. The plate does get hot enough to start simmering the coffee and it will reduce and burn if left on all morning. We just flip it off after an hour or so.
By Heidi Postell I love that this is an all stainless steel product. It works great. Buy the all-glass decanter. The stainless bottom decanter makes a continuous loud noise on the burner once coffee is brewed.
