By David Wagenheim From Viva! Vegetarian Grill The pros of this fryer is that it can fit in a tight space and performs well. The two baskets are sufficient for large batches of french fries. The cons are that the small design makes it hard to clean in some areas, particularly between the fat holder and the exhaust flue. Another aspect of cleaning that is difficult is getting all of the oil or cleaning water removed from vat. There lacks a significant slope to the drain spout so you have to lift the unit up to create a slope. This can be dangerous because often the unit is turned on so that oil is not viscous for draining, OR you have had cleaning water boiling during cleaning. So, the unit flue is hot while trying to drain. |
