We have several colors and use them for Regular & Decaf Coffee, Hot Water, Lemonade, Fruit Punch, Water and Ice. Although you can use this for soup, the spigot may retain food particles and may have to be disassembled completely and cleaned. I suggest using the LD500nss designed for that purpose. Use different colors for different purposes, also remember use your coffee units for coffee only. Periodically use baking soda to rinse and eliminate odors.
