WOW! Simple put these are the BEST MITTS EVER. Yes they cost alot and thats the price for ONE(i only bought really because i had a bit of credit for reviewing) but the heat blocking and durability on them is absolutely superb i don't even know where to begin. To give an example i recently became obsessed with pizza making which part of it involves heating A 3/8" sheet of steel in the oven to 550-600 degrees on the top shelf putting pizza on it and pulling it off sometimes with the broiler on. My hands NEVER even got hot!!! after i finished backing the pizzas, i grabbed this still hot piece of steel ~550 oF and carried it outside to cool like 30sec-1min and then they got warm but i could still hold on. Im sold these things are great and i think they are the same ones cooking shows recommend but just a different name. If you can afford it these are the way to go!
