It is recommended to use ground sage more sparingly than whole leaf sage, as ground sage is absorbed faster in your recipes than leaf sage.

Ground sage is a good spice to have on hand when fresh isn't available. Be aware that you will need less ground sage than fresh or leaf sage as the flavor is more powerful this way.

i think sage is a common American herb in American dishes. But i use it in Asian dishes also. The price is wonderful and it is a big bottle. The bottle cap is so well designed that the fragrant and aroma of the herb just smells from the bottle each time i opened the bottle for use. It keeps the herb fresh. Don't worry about buying a big bottle.

The Regal Spices Ground Sage works great in many of my Italian dishes, especially those with sausage. Red sauce pastas using this sage are great favorites at events and other parties. I use the sage sparingly, but it really adds a lot of flavor and fresh taste that I don't even feel like I get with fresh Sage. We use ground sage in our soups, stews and in our rub for our chicken. If we are making a pasta that will contain chicken we put a 1/4 teaspoon in the pasta water to give it a slight flavor change. It ties the chicken flavor with the pasta. We use as a rub for our chicken along with 5 other herbs and spices. Try sage, crushed parsley, onion powder, thyme, salt and pepper. We add a lemon cut in half with the rub sprinkled lightly on the cut sides then put in the cavity along with a couple of springs of fresh rosemary if they are available.
