Regal Ground Allspice is the dried, unripe
berry of the Pimenta dioica that is ground
into a powder. It has a sweet and savory
flavor reminiscent of nutmeg, cinnamon,
clove, and a hint of pepper. Regal Ground
Allspice works well in pickling spice
mixtures and in marinades for fish, poultry,
and meat. It especially works well with
Lebanese food, ham, rice, cakes, and
pies. Allspice goes well on cottage
cheese, deviled eggs, baked apples, and
in tomatoe sauces. Caribbean cooking
relies on allspice as the main ingredient in
jerk seasoning. Sold in an 8 oz. bottle.
