The flavor of these bay leaves is phenomenal. This innocuous looking leaf transforms a pan of sauteed onions into a delicious base for soups. I plan to use them liberally from now on and it might still take us years to go through this large container.

I use bay leaves whenever, i mean WHENEVER, i am doing any type of braising protein. You just need to remember to take them out after braising, you can choke on them.

At my restaurant we use bay leaves rather sparingly as it is easy to overshoot the runway and end up with a product that is incredibly bitter tasting, however when used in just the right amount bay leaves can make just about any dish better Just know how much to use before utilizing.
