Can this knife be washed in a dishwasher?

No, hand washing with soapy water and sanitizer solution is always recommended. When placed in a dishwasher, the process will often rust and cause damage to the edges of the blade.

What is VG-10?

VG-10 is incredibly durable, high end stainless steel with a high carbon content that is made in Japan. This steel features 1% carbon content, which is double the carbon content of some other forged steel blades. VG-10 is commonly referred to as a "super-steel" material because of its overall strength and incredible edge sharpness. Additionally, it's about half the weight of German steel.
